Doesn't seem like this dlc moves the unfinished story of the Chantry's troubles in the main game at all. Just a sidequest and Hawke backstory it seems. Hmm, pass.

Do you mean the Circles ****** up against the ******** over ******, which causes the beginning of the apparent **** of the Chantry?
I kind of expected that to be explored further in another game, or at least an expansion. It seems to big for DLC, maybe we'll see something examining some of the effects of the ********. But I would imagine no more than that.

Unless of course you mean something taking place within the unseen years inbetween acts, to further flesh out the unrest in Kirkwall? That's something I hope to see.

The Circle ********** can definitely be more than a dlc. However, I wouldn't mind that story arch evolving a bit with a dlc. Something without Hawke even. Say a party adventure with Leliana and Cassandra instead, after the events of DA2.

*edit : spoilers

A dlc focused on Leliana and Cassandra could be interesting to play, centred on their search for the hero of Ferelden and the champion of Kirkwall.
That or something like it may be something we'll see when Bioware start to build up to DA3, kind of like arrival for ME3.

Probably 800 MS points on xbox and 9.99 pounds  on psn

800 BW points is £6.19, so I assume it is something similar for Xbox and PS3.

Hah!

Except that he says in The Calling and DAA that he (as far as he knows) was the first of his kind and doesn't know why he was born as he is. However, that doesn't mean that the Legacy guy wasn't the first of his "experiments" or something.

Actually, I'm starting to think that people should just go read The Calling before even playing this DLC. There might be some tidbits and references. I think David is sneaky that way.

a question about these special weapons.Firstly for rogues are there 2 daggers, and will there be a bow as well? and for warriors is there just a 2 handed sword? or is there a one handed as well?
as there wasn't an 'iconic' one hander or bow in the main game either

The game will be able to tell which weapon type you use and give you the appropriate style of weapon in those cases - you will however not get both. So if you want to get it as a bow, make sure you go in to Legacy as a bow-wielding Hawke ^_^

Except that even the last one there isn't really true.  They simply decided to   Bring back an old creature.  Genlocks were in DA:O

Your finally kicking us out of Kirkwall? It's so boring there so it would be nice to get some fresh air and kill oversized genlocks :D

Okay, so the darkspawn was imprisoned 2000 years ago, by the Grey Wardens, an order that wasn't founded in till the first blight had been raging for some time....1300 years ago.

The prison was built by the Grey Wardens. That doesn't mean they were the ones who originally trapped it. They could just be the ones who keep the magic going whenever it's about to fade.

Alternatively, they could've been a secret order of warriors who didn't think the Darkspawn were truly a threat until **** hit the fan (first blight). Before that point, they could've avoided mentioning the Darkspawn to avoid widespread hysteria.

We know the Dwarves were fighting the Darkspawn long before the First Blight. IIRC humans didn't know that the Dwarves were waging an endless war.

"The Grey Wardens built this prison to contain one of the most powerful Darkspawn we have ever encountered, but even the best magic fades." Suggest that both the prison and the magic are from the Grey Wardens.

The Grey Wardens were founded at Weisshaupt by veterans of the first blight decades after it started, unless they retconn, or just say the codex got it wrong.

My guess is just someone made a mistake in writing that line.

Eh, I try not to let myself get obsessed with dates in a fictional universe.  It may be a mistake.  May not be.  My point: it's not really a big deal.  Games have a lot of cooks in the kitchen.  If Gaider was writing EVERYTHING, that would be one thing.  But he's not.

I also hope this is just the first of quite a few DLC story content.  I want some post game content as well.  And Bianca's song sounds pretty cool.  But my ultimate wish is still an Act 4.  The last three years of Hawke before he disappears...

The First Blight saw many records get destroyed. The original Wardens could've been Grey Wardens serving their king, and they then renounced their oath to their king because he was being an idiot.

They could've been a secret order that stayed on as working for their political leaders (much like the Wardens actually did until the 3rd Blight).

Or, they weren't Wardens in that they were tainted, but they were still an Order fighting the Darkspawn under their king.

but this is all speculation, which doesn't do much good right now.

Yeah, honestly thats the best way to feel about it, Ive got such an obsession with real world history, that it bleeds into my enjoyment of games too, so when inconsestencies arise, it throws my brain for a loop. I'm a lore junkie, I wish I could be more relaxed about it.

I wouldn't really call it an import but yes you can play from the Post-Campaign save.

This may seem trite but I did not see it asked in other posts.   I've completed DA 2 twice; will  I be able to play Legacy as a continuation of the two games I've already completed and will all of my achievements, weapons, etc. carry over?

Will the DLC add a dialogue with any important NPCs like Leandra maybe, after finishing the DLC?
