So, if I have DAII on Steam...how do I go about getting this DLC? Barely used Steam (using family account) and never yet downloaded DLC - is it just treated like a new game in the store thing?
Of course, it hasn't been released yet on PC and stuff (curse my aussie timezone and the fact its nearly the 27th) but I'm just wondering.
BioWare themselves sell the DLC for their games so just go to the link below, you will buy it and you'll download an installation file which you just install and it'll go where it needs to and you can just play it after that.

The story and lore were good, but they didn't really reduce wave combat at all. Worth buying though!
It is. If there were waves, I didn't notice them. All I experienced was well-placed opponents, with sometimes a single reinforcement group incoming from various places, instead of just dropping out of the sky.

pfft ...you know they are sitting there with a bottle of some highly caffeinated drink or a pot of coffee tweaking all over watching the clock so they don't release it before office hours ...

Maybe my internet-skills are subpar but isn't it something like 7 am in Edmonton right now. I guess it's ok if they get into the office first =)

lol a true programmer/designer wouldnt have gone to bed last night!
im just being silly i have a programming firm i deal with at work who is west coast (and i am not) who i have to wait for on any day but RELEASE DAY
that day our guys are usually ahead of us all flitting all over the place before we hit the GO button. i suspect substance abuse but i always enjoy the pre-event spaztic behaviour
i just like to imagine in the gaming world the team gets as excited as we do for stuff

PS3 version isn't out yet from what im gathering?
Nope...May as well wait until tomorrow before you download it unless you like staying up all night playing through a game lol. Best we can hope for is early afternoon (which essentially means around 3-4pm EST) and worst case scenario being like it was with the demo. (Meaning not released until 7-8pm EST)
Im still checking in from time to time regardless because I have nothing better to do atm. But in all honesty, you're better off just waiting until tomorrow.

I played/am playing casual and there were no waves, just sneaky, sneaky darkspawn. Little blighters hunt in packs.

Yah it's only 7:30 am in Edmonton so they are still snoozing, also...They hate you PCers!!!! *Cackle* Jokes jokes, I have actually just come to take out my angst on you all cause I am sure I was just about done the dlc when my XBox went, *fight fight freeze* Sigh. I have to wait for my precious little delicate flower gets un-hot and try again. (spoiler: Don't take Fenris with Anders, I love my elf but I may have to punt him.)
Here's hoping that your XBox will get un-hot soon then =)

Thanks, I play to much snarky Hawke and it taught my Xbox the joys of terrible timing.

hmmm the DLC is great, but I gotta say this. The good people at Bioware still get the difficulty wrong on boss fights. Arishok is way to hard for a mage... as is Corypheus
Shhh Pretend your not here
