Find a way to let the player decide to reveal Tali.

And all it takes is one person to upload an image to the internet for it to be there forever. And as a sentient species that interacts heavily with other races due to their pilgrimage, I'm sure a lot of people are interested in them.

That said, I just read a fic where the author has decided that quarians are cat-people. I say no to that. No indeed, madam.

Still, I like the idea. Only reveal Tali's face to those who romance her. It keeps the other people happy, and enhances the feel of the thing. (And if someone wants to spoil it by looking up the screen shots, let em)

However, the "choose whether to see her face" idea probably works best.

We know she has two eyes (at least) and a nose. But her mouth is a mystery.
In all candor, Tali's lips probably look that squid doctor's from Futurama. So it might be best if we don't see her face.

Like, Joker could ask, "so, I gotta know... what does she look like?"
Shepard could start answering (using multiple responses):
- "She looks surprisingly human."
- "Very alien, yet still very beautiful."
- "Does it matter?"
- "Wow, I thought Wrex was ugly..."
And then each of those answers leads to Joker asking for more details, which you could fill in, or if you continue with "it doesn't matter" you just never see her face at all. Depending on your responses, the game remembers and tracks that down to try and best mimic your descriptions.
Or even better, you could just have Tali open up with a "you like me for me, not how I look, right?" and get players to come to terms that, you know, her looks never mattered in the past (beyond DEM HIPS) and they shouldn't matter now.

In certain shots of the first game at least, you can see her eyes and nose, they have to already have some reference model programmed already for that to be possible.
There's no way they can disappoint me, I just want to know what she looks like. I hate it when there's something hidden or obstructed and you never find out what it actually is or looks like.

One of my friends suggested she have a customizable face based off of a conversation Shepard could have with Joker or something.

There was a mention that quarians started to actively try to reclaim their home world. There was although a mention that the only biosphere they can adapt to living in without the suits is probably their home planet. What I would like to see is if we make a choice to help them reclaim their home world, than several quarians, including Tali taking their masques off to "breath the air of their home again" - I believe that it's one of thous things that would be "worth it" to them even if they have to go to med bay right after
There may be a choice for Shep there - if he/she is standing behind the qurians at that moment Shep can tap Tali on the shoulder and she can turn to look back, or we can skip the tapping part and she will simply put the masque back on.
