Gah, I feel like I'm spamming this board a bit, but this is an entirely different mod attempt to my other one.

I want to create an entirely separate set of armour using the models from Bethany's warden robe and textures of my own making. I have tried this before, but the new object defaulted to Bethany's original textures, even though the new ones were included in the new armour set package. What would do this?

Which file contains information about which textures to apply? I'd need to alter that to reflect the new texture names right? Something tells me its the mao file - how would I edit that?

Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, here's what you need:

A new .mao file. This will likely be a renamed duplicate of Bethany's, edited to point to the new texture.

A new .mmh file. This will likely be a renamed duplicate of Bethany's, edited to point to the new .mao.

Editing the .mao should be pretty simple, but the .mmh requires more thought.

When you have the .mmh open, you'll need to change index 6000, MMH_NAME, to the name of the new file (the very file you're editing). You can leave 6005, MMH_MODEL_HIERARCHY_MODEL_DATA alone, since we're using the default model.

Then, open up 6999, then 0, then 6999, then 6.

Edit index 6001, MMH_MATERIAL_OBJECT to point to your new, renamed .mao file. Copy that filepath into 6002, MMH_MATERIAL_LIBRARY.

That should get you where you need to go.

YAY! Thanks so much! It works! Apostate's Promise armour set will be coming up soon :D

(since this is Bethany's warden model, it will be female only though)
