The ridiculous exploding enemies should be left in the trashcan of failed ideas - in DA2 it seemed that enemies were like blood-filled water balloons under great pressure, that splattered at a pinprick.

Hypertension is the real enemy in Fereldan, In DA:O you cut off an enemy's head and a 6 foot geyser of blood shoots up from his neck; blood pressures are higher than normal.  I DA2 you kill and enemy and they explode like a blood grenade; blood pressures are downright explosive.  In DA3 people will be spontaneously exploding and you'll be on a quest for a cure for hypertension.  They'll have something like the spirit meter from NWN2:MotB where you have to keep taking blood pressure meds or you'll explode.

I have no real hopes for DA3, between Awakenings and DA2 I'm pretty sure they're just going through the motions and waiting for the coup de grace.

Also anytime you have an open world game like Oblivion, you just end up with copy and paste environments.

I'd rather have an open world environment than a closed environment with copy and paste dungeons like DA2.

I want to keep blowing stuff up with magic. Also, cuter outfits that look less like bathrobes. My mage should be stylish, dammit. Finally, I want a cuddly pet to replace that eyesore of a dog. Give me a wyrmling or maybe a rabbit.

DA2's basic gameplay and dialogue wheel are here to stay. No sense in wishing for drastic mechanical changes that will never happen.

LOL you would hate the mod that I installed.  Basically it removes underwear and the best armor is nothing but almost nude bras and the tiniest miniskirts you'll ever see.  Half of the bras are see through.
I have no shame so I actually like it and I have no problem saying that I can see their ummm "special Place"  during cutscenes and certain *ahem camera angles.

I fanwank and justify it by saying Hawke and her friends are very open about themselves. (bah DA2 is a mess no denying it... anything to brighten the mood I say)

Yeah, that isn't up my alley at all. Are those the TNT armors? I hate their work. They have a giant boob and nudity obsession. Mind, it isn't that I can't enjoy some skin. They just take it too far. I liked some of Hsli's outfits for DAO. At least the ones that weren't combat bikinis. Most modded outfits with skirts suck, though. I like wearing skirts and mini-skirts myself, but that doesn't mean I look like a skank doing it. Neither should my characters. <_<

I didn't say the environments in DA2 were better than Oblivion. I just would rather have environments like DA:O for DA3.

I agree, everything just looked so much better in Origins.

Many of you are missing the point of this thread, this is meant for what you would like to see in the next installment of the series and yet a lot of you don't seem to understand that. Yes the second game was sort of a disaster, so say what you hated about it and what you would like to see different in DA3.

PC Gamer recently posted an article from Bioware saying that DA3 will have the "best from both games." We'll see how this works out I guess

My wishlist for DA3
- Less re-used environments
-Less busg, issues and technical problems
-Improvement on the graphics engine and textures(it does look pretty dated)
- Race selection for player character(I want to play as an Elf again, please:))
-The return of Morrigan:happy:
-Champion and Warden will both feature in the main plot to team up and take on a greater evil
-Same combat system as DA2(I love it)

Hopefully Bioware will go back in the direction of origins but keep some of the things that were good in DA2 without ruining the RPG experience. I really hate the new art style and want the old one back more then almost anything. Bioware really needs to take some time to sit down and read what the PLAYERS thought of DA2 and what we want in the next game. Otherwise all of the core fans that helped Bioware make their start are going to give up on the company and franchise completely. Stop thinking of money so damn much and worry about the quality of the games you get paid to make!

Current ones?
That it will suck just as hard as DA2.

But i have my hopes, and i'm dropping my recommendations everywhere i can in The DA2 Forums.

But Frankly, i am very pessimistic about it, cause, from what i can tell, they seem to have this mentality that the reason why many people hated it is because it wasn't Origins 2(Mike Laidlaw ACTUALLY said that in an interview when the game came out, he said "they gave it a 6 cause they were expecting Origins 2", that's exactly what he said. Link? Right here), they think this thing was amazing, that all we want is a rehash of Origins, but no will appreciate their "IMNOBATIONZZZZ!!!!", and i think, they need to wake up.

They need to, but it's very unlikely they will. Check out what Chris Preistly said about the new art style at http://social.biowar...index/8212327/1

What parts of DA2 would be included? DA2 is not a terrible game, but everything that is good about it is good in DAO. I only managed to make it to the end of Act 1 though, so perhaps some of that stuff comes later.

Wow.  He replies to the artstyle comment by bringing up friggin cosplay ??    Who gives a s**t what these ppl dress up as ?  Because it's distinctive.   I could think of alot of distinctive stuff that's also horrendous too.

I'd like to just have the option to play with a Gamepad on the PC and the UI to suit, not as standard but at least have the option to.

Well they didn't give to many details on the subject, pretty much they said they want to please the core and the new fans with the next game. Their exact words were "to combine the best of both games." I can't say I hated DA2, but I didn't love it either.

Well honestly, he is not very bright if that's what he thinks. Of coarse we are going to expect an Origins 2! It's not like Activision is going to give us Modern Warefare but then make a game like Fable and slap a Moder Warefare 2 logo on it!! If you're going to make a sequel, you should make a game that is true to the series. I have to constantly remind myself when I'm playing DA2 that it's even a Dragon Age game at all. Next thing you know I'm going to pop in DA3 (if I pop in DA3) expecting something at least close to the previous games but be surprised to find a Energy Sword and plasma grenade in hands!! Of coarse Bioware will think they did in excelent job in making they're game different, but different isn't always good!!

Ok I'm done ranting now ;)

I knew DA2 wasn't going to be for me just by paying some attention to the games progress pre-release.

What are my hopes for DA3? That it will die in development and never be released.
