Only people that can not go bi are Tali, Garrus and Thane.

Then why does Tali come on to femshep?

1.Zaeed: So, did ya hear about what Shepard did to Kal Reegar?
2.Jacob: No.  What happened?
3.Zaeed: She and Tali linked suits. Kal got jealous and confronted Shepard about it and then she proceeded to beat the hell out of him.
4.Jacob: A little extreme, but still, if you’re going to play with fire.
5.Zaeed: What do you mean?
6.Jacob: Shepard should have known how Kal felt and therefore shouldn’t have linked suits with Tali.
7.Zaeed: Linking suits is about trust and nothing else.
8.Jacob: I don't know.  It's pretty intimate. I’m not saying Shepard went “planet scanning” with Tali or anything, but linking suits is definitely in the same ballpark.
9.Zaeed: Whoa there just a goddamn minute.  Linking suits and “planet scanning” as you call it isn’t in the same ballpark.  It’s not the same league.  Hell, it’s not even the same goddamn sport!
10.Jacob: Then let me ask you this.  Would you ever link suits with another guy?
11.Zaeed: ****** off!
12.Jacob: Come on, Zaeed, I trust you.  I think we could be friends. Let’s link suits together.
13.Zaeed: Go to hell!

:P

Dood,  people who romance Garrus are teh dumbz.

lol:lol:
But anyway, it's true that Turians have male parts, as Krogan too. Both Wrex (in his dialogue about Aleena) and Garrus (abour doctor Saleon) confirmed that.

Man,  why can't alien sex be weird.  At least the Asari are kind of strange,  but, it's not really secksing.

I believe it was in one of the books. (at least someone told me this fact) a turian was trying to restrain a human too much pressure and split the humans skin open without meaning too.

It just felt like she was describing Shepard like knight on white horse.

So females can't be knights now?  Or are you suggesting Tali has some horribly outdated view of gender roles?

ElitePinecone wrote...

This argument is flawless. Astounding.

I didn't said it's good argument.

Seemed like little bragging to me.

Nothing in his tone or body language suggested bragging. Nor was it appropriate for the situation.

And I already said Garrus is nervous with FemShep.
It would be way worse with ManShep.

Considering male Shep would have to approach him the same way...why?

@Mesina2:

Apart from the sheer ludicrousness of alien perceptions of gender and sexuality matching up even roughly with human ones, disregarding even the wide variations within humanity itself, the burden of proof doesn't lie on me to prove that Garrus/Tali/Thane find only one gender attractive.

The burden lies on you to prove that this is the case - and since you can't prove it, and I can't prove the opposite, the situation is ambiguous.

We can talk about probabilities, in the absence of definite evidence, but you're speculating on three separate species of aliens whose social mores we know absolutely nothing about.

Human sociology and anthropology shows a near-limitless range of gender roles within human communities. Try extrapolating that to three separate alien species.

Given that the situation is ambiguous, Bioware have free reign to do what they wish. They probably won't make these characters bisexual, but all I'm arguing is that they can if they wish. To suggest that aliens would find one human gender attractive over another, when the physiological differences between humans and aliens are so huge, is absurd.

And the character consistency...it's already been pointed out that their sexual orientation has not been written in stone, heck I don't think it's even been addressed. Maybe Liara, and the whole Asari thing, but I can't remember anyone else talking about they're only straight.

My FemShep hit up on Thane, and he was like, "well, I've never been with a human, but....".

For character consistency look at Garrus. No not even his romance.

ME1: Yeah Shep...I'm totally gonna be a Spectre/C-Sec!

ME2: Well...like I decided to go to C-Sec but dude...Omega's better.

Dude what?

Shepard:

ME1: Ugh Liara! I only like men!
ME2: Hey Kelly! <3

Shepard:

ME1: Liara you and your kind disgust me
ME2: LIARA! BFFS!!!!

So yeah. Consistency isn't high on BW"s priorty list.

ME1: KILL SHEPARD!
ME2: Let's bring him/her back to life because they obviously weren't enough of a pain in our asses the first game.

ME1: REAPERS! WE MUST PREPARE!
ME2: Ah yes "reapers".

ME1: ALL GETH ARE EVIL
ME2: D'aww Legion!  Turns out most of the geth are good!

Yet the above is somehow more consistent?

So a turian basically scratched a human? That can happen with humans, too.

I don't think it's that silly that he has male parts.

I think his masculine organ corresponding almost with the human masculine organ to be a bit preposterous myself.

And asari having vaginas and boobs. But I don't see anyone talking about that.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a basic scratch. If it was there'd be no reason to mention it.

I do. It's ridculous that of the species we know of at least 2 have something similar to a human male's.

BW needs to get a little more creative with the alien bit. As it is now they're just humans in costumes.

The asari were based of the blue skinned (or green skinned) space babe. They were never supposed to make much sense or be truly "alien".

One such race is ignorable. When it keeps happening though one just wonders why they didn't just make them human. There's no point in them being alien.

Yes,  but technically speaking these are not for sexual purposes they are for reproduction/birth/ feeding.  They have mind sex,  which,  technically speaking is pretty much out there.

True enough,  but, at least they seem alien in their reproduction while every other alien species just seem like humans with a reskin.

... But asari don't have vaginas and there's some evidence to suggest they might not have breasts either. Remember the bachelor party, every species sees Asari as being anatomically similar to themselves.

Tali gives adoring worship vibes to female Shepard, too.  She and Liara switched places in acting like a Leliana.  The kind of woman you expect to try to play with your hair.  *shudder*

Image IPB  Er, for a lot of higher order species in the animal kingdom, males have peens of various types, too.  It's kind of de rigeur to have a slot and tab for reproduction.  I do think that Mordin's "chafing" comments imply it's not a one to one correspondence.

God, why am I even...  *flees thread*

Just because it works that way on earth, doesn't mean that it works that way on other planets.

Pretty much this.

It's a necessary part of sci-fi, though.

If they made them too alien it'd probably be terrifying, or at least extremely difficult to empathise with.

And like Wolf said, they wanted to make them bangable. Relatable, talkable, just human enough to allow us to warm to them.

It's totally unrealistic, but ME isn't exactly 'hard' sci-fi in any event (ME tried valiently to explain things quasi-scientifically, but ME2 just threw everything out the window).

Disregarding minor details like, I dunno, evolutionary biology and the laws of probability don't seem to matter when the object is to make an attractive blue space lesbian or a frog-man ;)

Only in the actual intercourse they are different. Other than that, they are human female reskins. I still like them though.

Not to mention I can't think of a single species with said man organ that'll give a human shock from their fluid (blood, saliva or otherwise). I might be wrong though. It's been a while since i took biology.

Ah true.

But I'd love it if they were alien. Make them Qunari like or something.

And bleh. The humans are the only ones who need to be bangable. Most aliens should be "wtf are you smoking?" to a human ofering sex.

Bleh. Frog men and space elves. BLEH.
