I seem to have run into a problem at bann franderels estate (final theft quest)

I have cleared the level of opponents and there seems to be no way to leave.

I notice that there is a blocked door, but I am unable to interact with it. All other passageways are blocked and the city map is not available when I return to it. There is clearly a portion of the map unexplored when I look at the map, but the barred door with no interactivity is in the way.

Is this a bug and do I need to reload an earlier save or have I missed an action?

Nevermind. I have found the way out. The city map is small, but there on the floor.



Now, whatsoever is that lever for in the (dining?) room on the same floor, I pull the lever, I push the lever back, but nothing happens...

I had that same problem...it took me FOREVER to find the stupid map on the floor near where I entered so I could finally leave.
