Thanks!  Really happy that you enjoyed that brief glimpse... we'll have more to show/talk about, and you'll hear feedback from actual players during comic con as well I'm sure.

The new creatures look awesome I think - the art team did a superb job (not just the Genlock Alpha and Brontos, but we have other new creatures too like the Hurlock Alpha).

All the followers are back and have new dialogue (same writers, same VO talent), and the party banter is fantastic.  And with the story ties to the Hawke family, Carta dwarves and Wardens you can also expect to see additional scenes with the siblings/mother, Varric and Anders.

I cant wait for this.. 4 month wait! So glad we'll finally getting more content

Thank you - we really wanted to take our time with this, but it's great to finally be able to talk about what we've been working on.

What the what?? So is teh PS3 version getting released on 26th along with the rest or not?

26th - sorry for the confusion.  We only received Sony confirmation very very late, so the original material prepped had a later date to be safe - we're working on updating all our sites etc, and getting that out to the media.  But if you see anything like that out in the interwebs, it's that the haven't updated to the latest info.

Was that The Architect? Awesome! I was really hoping to see more about him and find out more of his story!

It's not the Architect, but it does bear a striking resemblance doesn't it.  If you enjoy the DA lore, you're in for treat as you learn more about what it is.

I have a (possibly stupid) question ... in the GameSpot video yesterday, we saw Hawke get his ass handed to him, even when the game was on Casual and being played by an player experienced with the DLC. But, Hawke's health and stamina bars were really small to begin with, so I assumed this was a Hawke from early act 1, possibly without great gear as well as he wouldn't have got it yet.

Will the enemies in Legacy level with Hawke as they do in the game itself? Is there any advantage to playing a level 24 endgame-save Hawke as opposed to a level 7 just-arrived-in-Kirkwall Hawke, gameplay-wise?

(I'm just curious as to whether I need to knuckle down and get my recently-created Hawke to a higher level before the DLC comes out, if I want to play it with her.)

I'm really excited for this. :)

The content scales to the level you're at - I don't think it'll be that tough on Casual though - the person at the controls was just trying to avoid pausing and using a health potion so close to the end of the fight and it didn't work. ;)  The guardian fights will be much tougher on Normal and up though.

One question: female dwarves?

Sorry, no new followers, and the Carta dwarves you meet are male in Legacy.

I only wish we had additional scenes with Isabella, Fenris and the others as well. But Im not complaining! Are the Bioware team working on other DLCs simutaniously?

They will also have their share of the spotlight.  No comment on future content (which you will be able to bring your customizeable weapon from Legacy into. ;))

question: Is there any Varric-Cassandra dialogue?

Short answer - Yes. :D

Longer answer - For the most part what we're messaging publicly is things we've been listening to from DA2 feedback.  But a large part of what we're doing with DA2 DLC is also addressing your feedback from DAO DLC - making meatier story based DLCs, making the DLC feel much more naturally a part of the main game (e.g. having V-C dialogue falls in this camp), continuing Hawke's story, bringing in all the followers, etc are all part of delivering on that.

Thanks, it all looks really interesting! Any chance you can answer how long the DLC wil be? I personally prefer quality over quantity, but the price does imply some several hours...

EDIT: Also random curious question Fernando: are you brazilian by any chance? Looks like it...

As usual, it'll really vary on play style - with Legacy we've added optional side quests and additional areas, puzzles, a pretty awesome (i think) easter egg, codex/lore items, etc for those that love to wander off and explore and read everything.

What I can say is that it is definitely bigger and (I think) more rich in content than any of our previous DLCs across DAO or DA2 (short of DAO's retail expansion Awakening), if that helps.  And with the reactivity to some of the followers and what point of DA2
you begin, I think it also has more replayability appeal than our other DLC.

Totally agree on quality - and this was a big thing from looking at DAO DLC feedback - so it's another reason it took us this long to release a story DLC, is taking the time to ensure that the DLCs are at least at same or better quality level than the main game.

Granted, there's a wide variety of opinions out there for DA2 :innocent:- but I think it would be safe to say that if you enjoyed DA2, you'll definitely love this.  And if you enjoy DA lore and story in general, you'll definitely love this.  If you're on the fence but open enough to give DA2 another chance, then taking my BW hat off for a sec I'd definitely recommend it, but also say maybe wait for more reviews or player feedback and double check that what we're doing with it appeals.

(I'm Portuguese - close)

Too bad. {smilie}
But they still exist?

Is there a cameo like familiar companion like Leliana (Exiled Prince)?
Only yes or no please.
We won´t need a spoiler. {smilie}

They exist (the race in general would have a terribly hard time procreating otherwise) ;).  However, they are all full time busy tending horses  (jk).

I'm guessing that this is how the DLC can be playable anytime because of the framed narative, will it be like Varrics companion quest with Bertrand where Cassandra interupts varric at the start and a cut-scene with them starts?

You'll want to wait and see.  But V-C will play a part in the introduction to the DLC.

Looks bad, I don't get why Hawke is bothering with the wardens at all? What about the fact that templars and mages are going all crazy on everyone.

As always, context is rather important. You've been given very little thus far - I'd hesitate to make any assumptions based onwhat you do have, but then, this -is- the BSN Posted Image

Does it make sense at all to play post campaign? Does the dialogue react to a post campaign save a'la Arrival?

As long as you're taking in to consideration that the Post-Campaign save is technically before the start of the final battle then yes, yes it does.

What's changed from DA2 to this DLC game-system-wise?

...snip...

Game-systems-wise, not much actually.  DLC content must rest on top of the underlying game systems of the base game, and particularly on consoles we can't really touch such game wide systems like that via a DLC (nor would we want you to have to pay for something like that which affects the base game, or limit it to only those that have the DLC).

Those types of changes are the domain of patches/updates - we're 3 patches in (2 on console) and have been not only addressing bugs and performance issues, but in the last patch we made a balancing pass as well for example.  Those would carry into any DLC (as well as affect the base game).

What we can do in the DLC however, is things like spend much more time with the placement of creatures in the new DLC areas to create more tactically interesting encounters - I personally think the end result is that it feels closer to DAO's set piece style combat encounters in that sense.  But the combat mechanics themselves - pressing a button and (well, you know what happens) ^_^- would still play the same as the base game.

Does that help answer your question?  I would say based on what you're looking for to wait for more footage and player feedback and make your decision from that (at least for this DLC).

I heard that they're moving more away from DA2 and more in the direction of DA:O for this DLC, does that mean we lose our morally ambiguous story style? because that was the one part about DA2 i really felt was better than DA:O.

Not at all - everything we're doing is building on top of what we did for DA2.

We've only reviewed the feedback since DA2 launch and Legacy is a step forward in showing how we've listened - so things like all new areas, less of the wave combat fights, etc.

But particularly on story - the story and style of story-telling of DA2 lives on, and your Hawke is still your Hawke (however morally ambiguous that may be in your game experience) - the same writers worked on Legacy penning new lines for the same followers they brought to life in DA2.  And the same VO talent is giving them a voice.  So it should feel very much like DA2 in this respect.

Hope that helps clarify.

$9.99 or 800 BW points or 800 Microsoft Points or 76000 Schrute Bucks depending on your platform.

What the heck is a Schrute Buck, (sounds like something Dr. Suess would make up) and why is each one worth .013 pennies?

I know this isn't an important question, it just stuck with me when I saw it.

Luke's conversion is a little off there. A Schrute Buck is worth 1/100th of a penny.

So, if I hear this game has some really good party banter and conversations, and especially if there's some romance with Isabela (etc), I'll give it a whirl. I do like that it has side-quests. Paying 10 bucks for one straightforward mission never feels worth it.

If it helps I can tell you that there is some incredibly comical banter between Isabela and Aveline. At one point I was actually thinking 'wow, I'm surprised we're allowed to put something like that in the game'. Anything else might be too spoiler heavy.

I wish the companions had more to say too (incidentally she always says that. She says it in Act 1 and Act 2).

I
mean, I really wish Bioware had made the Hanged Man (night version)
where all of the companions just chill out in Varric's suite and talk
about Hawke's decisions in the quests. Just one or two lines for each
quest (primary and secondary) would've been enough for me.

Companions have an insane amount of things to say, the problem you're having, however, is that they do not have a wide variety of active ambient dialog (you talk directly to them and they respond but not in a cutscene/conversation). The majority, by a large amount, of their ambient dialog is from party banter while they are with you. BUT, I'll put in a suggestion for future production that there is more relevant ambient dialog for when they are not in your party. Can't say anything will come of it but it never hurts to ask

It is.

As for Templar Carver he should be available to you as long as he's alive (If he's in your party picker screen but grey'd out, you're fine)

my question again cause it wasn't answered yet: what about the german (and other non english) VOs? still the same in the dlc as in the main game?

We've got the same VO and text languages as DA2 core - anything in that will be in the Legacy DLC.

Oh ok, must have been in another thread. Thank you for clarification.

As a side note, the TOR forums (The Old Republic) have a dev tracker which just lists all dev  and mods responses from all threads, is there a way for this to eventually be set up here. It would make knowledge much quicker to find. Thanks.

I get PMd this, or something to that effect, several times a day. I put in the suggestion and I pray for it every night.
