I actaully did'nt relize that, it makes sense, but I'm still sure there will be a DLC or two (possible expansion) that addresses the loose ends.nerdage wrote...
Chronologically the post campaign save takes place before the Last Straw quest, so it's just as good as any act 3 save.UltraBoy360 wrote...
Does it make sense at all to play post campaign? Does the dialogue react to a post campaign save a'la Arrival?

So excited!!! New quest, and returning voice actors... hope this means plenty of new dialogue from the companions!
PS - Bioware, I would pay ten times the price if an expansion gave us Shirtless Fenris.... just letting you know
Hey, how about EVERYONE shirtless? No, better yet, naked! Make an expansion that lets us make our Companions run around in their underwear just like in Origins,
It is... very relevant to my enjoyment of this series... <_<

What's changed from DA2 to this DLC game-system-wise?
...snip...
Game-systems-wise, not much actually. DLC content must rest on top of the underlying game systems of the base game, and particularly on consoles we can't really touch such game wide systems like that via a DLC (nor would we want you to have to pay for something like that which affects the base game, or limit it to only those that have the DLC).
Those types of changes are the domain of patches/updates - we're 3 patches in (2 on console) and have been not only addressing bugs and performance issues, but in the last patch we made a balancing pass as well for example. Those would carry into any DLC (as well as affect the base game).
What we can do in the DLC however, is things like spend much more time with the placement of creatures in the new DLC areas to create more tactically interesting encounters - I personally think the end result is that it feels closer to DAO's set piece style combat encounters in that sense. But the combat mechanics themselves - pressing a button and (well, you know what happens)
Does that help answer your question? I would say based on what you're looking for to wait for more footage and player feedback and make your decision from that (at least for this DLC).

I heard that they're moving more away from DA2 and more in the direction of DA:O for this DLC, does that mean we lose our morally ambiguous story style? because that was the one part about DA2 i really felt was better than DA:O.
Not at all - everything we're doing is building on top of what we did for DA2.
We've only reviewed the feedback since DA2 launch and Legacy is a step forward in showing how we've listened - so things like all new areas, less of the wave combat fights, etc.
But particularly on story - the story and style of story-telling of DA2 lives on, and your Hawke is still your Hawke (however morally ambiguous that may be in your game experience) - the same writers worked on Legacy penning new lines for the same followers they brought to life in DA2. And the same VO talent is giving them a voice. So it should feel very much like DA2 in this respect.
Hope that helps clarify.

Whatever, from what I've seen I can definitely say that I'm interested. Very interested.
Just the one thing though; if there is any intention to fix anythin about DA2, please let me keep Carver without being a mage. I hate playing mage, and I reeeaaally don't like Bethany. :/

It won't touch DA2, it's just an addon made using DA2's feedback. Fixes aren't for selling.FenrisDeSolar wrote...

I seriously hope there's more DLC planned, anyway. The Enigma of Kirkwall/Band of Three and Flemeth are two loose ends I'd particularly like to be wrapped up.

$9.99 or 800 BW points or 800 Microsoft Points or 76000 Schrute Bucks depending on your platform.

Thanks for the reply Fernando. That perfectly answered my questions.
And for the record I never objected to something awesome happening, I just didn't find the mage fun to play -- especially in comparison with Origins.
No biggie though, of the 15 games/expansions you folks have released for the PC I've loved 14 of them. You were bound to make something that wasn't to my tastes sooner or later.

One question - you mentioned aditional scenes with Leandra - I take it that only triggers if played in act 1 or 2? Since she's not exactly around in act 3 ...
