Only just realized - after reading thing 7 - that the line about having lost a vessel once before, could be interpreted in multiple ways depending on player choices.

A lot about TIM and cerberus being indoctrinated makes a lot more sense now, thanks for the read.
They're speculating.

That's my plan. I've read Revelation and I have two others. I think there is another book coming out later this year.sagequeen wrote...
Hmm... Started on the first spoiler and concluded I should just make the ME novels my summer reading.

So are you. TIM may or may not be indoctrinated.

He even mentions at the end of Retribution that he'd consider working with Anderson, and at the beginning of retribution, he'd consider working with Shepard again, and that's regardless of Shepard's decision regarding the base.
Again, I really doubt he's going to be an actual villian, at least not in the way people are expecting (Indoctrinated and/or intentionally working against Shepard's goals)

Un fortunately: I've only read the first novel. I don't read that much, most books to me are bogged down by descriptions I don't need. But the first Mass Effect novel didn't have this problem.
I still have The Stolen Throne on the backburner.

I agree with comrade8472's first point :
1 Anything affecting storyline in a game should be IN Game
The one thing I learnt from playing ME1 was that Cerberus = Alliance, always has and always will - so no surprises there as to what they both got up to. Anything that comes from the books/comics just better be well written into the ME3 game, which is all that matters to me, and not just assumed to be the default state from which awesome things will develop.

I also liked the little link at the end: Should Bioware reveal Tali's face in ME3? The answer can be, MUST be, YES!!!

For the most part, they novels (and comic) nimbly dodge confirming who Shepard is and what he/she has done. Councilor Udina in 2186 seems to occur anyway, though, but that is merely further proof that Anderson didn't like his job enough.elarem wrote...
I skimmed the headlines: the problem is I don't read comics/books that tie-in to a video game which supposedly has no 'canon' story and in which my choices were supposed to matter. Now it appears ME only has a 'no canon Shepard story' - and I'm seriously beginning to doubt even that!

And also avoided a few exceptionally stupid premise that were laughably or willfully biased.
The most relevant point of all of that was the title for the 'Cerberus knows more about Indoctrination than we do.'

I agree, what about those who don't buy or don't have time to read books or comics? I am a avid book reader but I like certian styles of writing and certian genres of books so I haven't spent the money on either the comics or books. I like ME3 but to me it is a Game and I should be able to get all the infromation about it IN game and not have to spend money elsewhere to get the whole story.
If the book and comic don't affect the storyline in any way thats great I'm all for it. Take movies for example, If I watched the first 2 movies of something and them there were books about it and then the 3rd movie refrenced the books but I didn't read them I would feel confused and ripped off. PLEASE if you put infromation from the books or comics in game please at least explain whats going on somehow, not leave people confused because they didn't give you more money.
