To be honest revelation is entirely skippable, and i wish i had. I used to think Anerson was kinda cool, but that book had me liking Saren more! Don't get me wrong i love the Mass Effect franchise and i'm not a frequent poster on BSN, so i didn't just come here for the sake of trolling.

But from the word go it just feels really contrived. Anderson only just meets Kahlee and yet from then on he comes across as more interested in getting into her pants than doing his job. And that article also says that Kahlee is the second most important individual after Shep, but she doesn't actually do anything noteworthy in the whole series. If a character is supposed to be great and well known for something, then it's the book's task to actually demonstrate why. But Kahlee is apparently the most brilliant mind in the galaxy and a major celebrity just because the narrative says so.

You and I either read different books, or you just don't understand what's going on in them.

Suggesting that you understand literature and language better than i or anyone else, by replying to my criticism with a single sentance insult does not behoove you.Image IPB I'm sorry if you don't agree, but by comparison to other Sci Fi series about clandestine operations i've read, the Mass Effect books were not as convoluted. Nor were the characters or environments as well defined. Forgive me if it's off topic to give examples, but the Eisenhorn and Ravenor books were what i was basing my comparison on.

I was going to read, but after starting I realized that I'm committing a blasphemy. I immediately bought all three books on ebay. There can be no substitutes for the full Mass Effect experience.

I, personally, can't wait 'till the long knives come out with Aria vs. The Illusive Man. I'm gonna choose Aria every time, I don't give one healthy dogsnot what it does to my rep.

I imagine having the army of Omega behind you would be pretty kick ass. Remember what Aria said about the merc gangs who teamed up to take on Garrus? "They only work together in times of war." Well ME3 seem like a good place to start.

if i could add some dialogue to ME3, it would be along the lines of:

"most brilliant mind in galaxy? laughable assertion. Unsurprising though.  simian derived brain of ****** sapiens prone to unsupported optimism.  coupled with ethnocentric viewpoints and education, leads to grandiose claims.  Survived difficult situations, true.  But no real clandestine work. Certainly incapable of complex laboratory work in field conditions after sub orbital drops on hostile worlds.  Also read peer reviewed studies in scientific journals.  Graduate student writing at best.

Anyway shepherd, much work to do.  talk later.  working on genetic modification of quarian auto immune systems.  Perhaps nanobots to bind pre-exile dna segments to genome.  How to suppress allergic response..."

Interesting about the IM man though.   I had figured that his encounter with the artifact had just given him enough of a scare to realize there are ancient, dangerous things awaiting humanity, and to take Shepherd seriously years later.   Didnt consider the posibility of a slow, gradual indoctrinaiton, or think of his eyes as anything other than a usefull mod of some kind.  I always kinda hoped he got his glowing eyes in his youth by paying pay 20 menthol Kools to do a surgical shine job while in the slam.   The indoctrination angle will make it even harder to guess his motivations in ME3.  Is he or isnt he indoctinated, and if so, just how much?  Nothing is quite as it seems with cerberus and the illusive man, and Im sure bioware has some twists planned that are far more interesting than "surprise, he's been indoctinated like saren puppet all along!"   I cant wait

That last book was wretched (errors, typos and a conclusion that takes up like 20 pages - like the author lost track of how many pages he had left), but I liked the first two.

The comics are pretty bad too. Hardly any story. Without picture you are talking about 800 words tops to tell the same story. I thought a picture was worth a thousand words.

Too much intel. Effects on species, effects on galaxy! Too many variables. TOO MANY VARIABLES!
That said I don't see why this information should be known to the player. That just adds unnecessary dramatic irony. Oh, cool, we the player know that the Illusive Man used to be a soldier, but how's Shepard supposed to know that? It's not even in the Shadow Brokers files!

Did anyone bring this up yet?
If so I'm sorry I'm gonna bring it up again. In the Comic with Charlie Harper TIM, Ashley's Grandad know old TIM back before he was TIM. He also seemed to support TIM and his every Alien must die thing. I

I think it would be rather cool to find out that Ashley's Grandad played a huge part in getting Cerberus up and running it would be great to be able to throw that back in Ashley's Face and it would create so much Drama and more so if Ya cheated on Ashley with Miranda.

They is so much potential there with Ash's Grandad being a key person who helped get Cerberus off the ground.

Also after reading Retribution I was talking with a bud and I said something like this to him was "I want to know how big the damage to Cerberus was. If it's really big I'd like to know if TIM' would be stupid or have a big enough God Complex, or just plan insane enough to indoctrinate himself. See if he is willing to throw himself on the sword for once instead of throwing people who ****** himself off on it or just throwing anyone on the Sword"

Only reason I bring it up My friend also brought it up to me the other day reminding me of my statement,

Back to the Ashley's Grandad thing anyone else think that would be cool if her Grandad played a big part of Cerberus getting started?

I remember reading this article a while back. All this information's all well and good, but I hope it's all explained somehow in gameplay, for those of us who haven't gone out and read the books or comics, and don't intend to. Nothing against the writers, I'm sure the stories are great... but it's too far removed from the events of my Shepards. And other than that, you shouldn't have to go out and buy a series of books, to understand the events of a trilogy in a whole other medium.

Read fact No.1~

Remember: Cerberus is incotrnated at the start of Mass Effect 3.

I take it that the words "the start" is there for a reason. Hopefully this hints a hope of Shepard working with them again.

so tim and crew are indoctrinated but how the hell did he retain his humanity if the early stages of being indoctrinated get by many of the Cerberus people?!

now i am going to be questioning how did tim let the everything go ouyt control if he is in the early stages and cant see that he doing is wrong for humanity, if he is with the reapers, but this also make sense how many time he tries to hand the reapers Shep over a "trap" mission
