Spoilers may follow.  I chose to have my party members rescue my imprisoned main character, but I can't talk to him.  Somehow I opened a chest, and it put all of his equipment back on, but I still can't talk to him even though the quest icon is above his head.  What is going on here?  How can I proceed with the game?  This is a really frustrating bug.

Happened to me too, I just reloaded and had him rescue himself. No amount of changing characters or strategies made him stop kneeling at the cell wall. His cellmate was more than happy to go when I opened HIS door though.
