As long as I don't hear tali go "Oh kee-ra, shepard-san!", I'm still open to it. Not like the thread's dissapearing anytime soon, so that's my 2 cents.

I honestly won't mind a Mass Effect anime. I heard they are planning a Dragon Age one too. Really, the only reasons why there are those who don't like the idea is a combination of mainstream anime (Naruto, Bleach to name two) and the hardcore anime fans themselves. There are plenty of good Japanese animations out there such as the Studio Ghibli movies, all of which are exceptional. (In my opinion)

Also I heard people are fretting over them using crappy VA's when I don't see how this will be a problem as they can just borrow those who voice acted from the games themselves. Even if the story will be unique you can't seriously expect them not to throw in a few cameos. Another thing is that this will be a feature length thing I assume, which will mean Bioware and whatever studio they will work along with will try to go for the best voice actors out there. Gah, people are always fretting and jumping to conclusions so much about something, I'm just sick of it.

I used to watch a lot of anime when I was younger, but now I hardly do. I've grown out of them so to speak. With that said, not implying anime are for kids just certain aspects are flavorless. Script being a prime example: Usually old, boring, & repetitive for me currently. If this info is true then most likely I will not watch it, instead i'll wait for the movie.

I have fond memories of the late 80's early 90's when Japanmation(I never embraced the term anime) was actually more male friendly. What happened to the Hokuto no Kens,Midnight Eye Goku's,and the Cobra's of Japanamation. The manly stuff. Everything I see now is spiky hair and skinny emo males, which was always present in certain series but now they are everywhere.
Hopefully Mass Effect will be more in line with the Final Fantasy CGI film and not Naruto.

LOL Mass Effect and Naruto are NOTHING alike. Naruto sucks anyway. One of the worst popular anime around these days. God do I hate Naruto, but not as much as I hate Naruto fanboys/girls. They are the worst.

The west and Japan make fine cartoons in the past and in the now I can name a ton of names but I am sure Luc0s will say all the west cartoons suck.:?

And all the new comic book superhero cartoons are great sure they are not Batman:TAS level but they come as close as they can to it.

Nah not ALL the west cartoons these days suck, just pretty much everything I've seen so far. ;-) But as I said a milion times already, I'm willing to give Young Justice a try since I haven't seen that series yet and it actually doesn't look so bad on the first glimp so as I said more than 3 times before now, I'm going to give that series a try.

I was kinda looking forward to the remake of Voltron (Voltron Force 2011). It looked promising, but I've seen the first few episodes now and I'm really disappointed. Another childhood series ruined. But hey, at least I'm not going to cry about it. I just decided that I'm simply not going to watch it.

I'm really looking forward to the remake of Thundercats (Thundercats 2011). Hopefully that remake will do better than Voltron Force.

What REALLY would make my day is an animated series about Deadpool. If they would make that, I would be really happy!

Voltron Force is very meh as of now and wait you are looking forward to Thundercats even though you think Avatar is a "wannabe anime"(and it is not by the way) since Thundercats(and the old show) are very anime like, so why don't you call Thundercats a "wannabe anime" too?

Anyway Young Justice is good so watch it and if you want more good shows watch The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, Adventure Time, G.I. Joe: Renegades, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

See right now we have more good cartoons in the weat than what little good cartoons Japan has as of now.

Well there are a ton of art styles, Dr. Osamu Tezuka the man who made manga/anime had Disney as a major inspiration for his art and Tezuka's art style is the one I see as the "main" art style of manga/anime.

What about you, how do you feel about Tezuka's art?

See very Disney like.

Well i don't really have a problem with the art direction he takes, but when i see some of the things he has done (and i must admit i haven't seen much of his work) it feels like i'm watching a Disney drawing. And then it just feels like he used Disney as more of a crutch, than an inspiration.

What about Princess Knight?

That shows better on how Disney was his inspiration and at the how he same time made his own art style.

He had a lot of good works in my view.

Too often, the way anime draws people is really goofy.
I'd be all for an anime involving nonhumanoid aliens (Blasto, anyone?), though.

I have to disagree with that. For every good western cartoon you can name, I can name 2 good Japanese cartoons. Here's a start:

Ghost in The ShellOne Piece, Full Metal AlchemistFull Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk and Trigun (though the Trigun anime is not as good as the manga).

These names above are merely the names of series. If I'm allowed to name films than I can add wayyyyyyyyy more names to the list. I'm also nice enough to link each and every name that I just listed to a trailer or short clip of named anime. Ain't I nice?

To be really 100% honest, I think we both exaggerated in the past. Maybe I need to be more open-minded about modern western cartoons and you need to be more open-minded about Japanese cartoons.

Haven't checked out Monster yet. I'm gonna check it out right now.

One Piece is my favorite anime/manga ever. It's simply amazing. But that's only my opinion.

I think the Berserk manga is waaaaaaaaaaay better than the Berserk anime, but I still thought the Berserk anime was worth mentioning.
