I'd say they're about as different as two series that touches on the same subject can be. better than gurren lagann IMO. And I love gurren lagann.

GaoGaiGar is still better than both of them.

Yea, I debated about doing so, after finishing Claymore Anime which was good but had a pretty bad rushed ending I started reading the manga for that and it was much much improved over the anime.

Mass Effect anime will only wish it could be as good as GiTS, Ergo Proxy, etc.

The reason it will probably suck, as I'm assuming the reason Halo anime may have sucked, is not because it's anime. It's because the setting and lore is already defined, which constrains what writers can do.

You really should look up behind the scene stuff and interviews with the guy who made the Eva series. It helps if any of it went over your head. He was going through some stuff at the time and it shows.

In a good way.

Soul Eater was a bit disappointing.. but i loved the characters.  same goes for Pandora Hearts and Priest graphic novels...

Except for the anime One Piece, which is just as good as the manga because it's for 99,9% exactly the same (except for the fillers of course).

No Toei has made the anime worse than what they did to Dragon Ball with all the filler.

Also Bleach the anime is better than the manga because the manga itself sucks.

There's nothing inherently wrong with anime, it's just that the popular western perception of it as a Pokemon ripoff with a framerate of about 3 fps and cheesy dialogue is commonplace. Watch real quality anime like Akira or Trigun and you can see its potential. In addition, just because something is "anime" doesn't mean it follows the art style of stereotypical japanese animation - most people thing "tall skinny girls with huge eyes and nonexistant noses" but there are almost as many anime styles as there are artists, ranging from the aforementioned cartoony, simplistic style to gritty real-world styles. In fact, the art style of Mass Effect is partially based on the CG Final Fantasy movie, which is an example of a grittier, 3D anime style:

Look back 2-3 pages. All of my posts. It really doesn't amount to anything. The OP is a troll who registered to make this thread. And everyone who is against it is only comparing what happened to Halo to what would happen to Mass Effect without any real experience with sci-fi or good animez. Its either you're here to talk about anime with people - or to LOL at people who are just plain ignorant.
