Is one month prior to release still enough time?

every stores has a limited amount of CEs, so until they are all reserved, you still can order a CE.

What Haristo said. Collectors Editions dont stick around forever. The ME2 one went rather quickly. Im assuming there are more for ME3, however dont expect them to readily available for too much longer.

You can always cancel your preorder nearer the time if you wish.

I'd have to say no. By the time February rolls around, I'd say that all Collector's Edition preorders will be gone, in stores anyway. I'm certain you could still preorder them on websites such as Amazon and Gamefly. Probably on the Gamestop website as well.

I think it depends. If you use a retailer or an online source they only have those up for so much time. Then again not everyone wants the CE of ME3. I'd say if you're going to wait do it by December or early January at the very latest.

I've got all of my mass effect copies on STEAM mostly because I don't like keeping psychical copies on my shelf.
If they will add an option to purchase on steam it will be great.
But I'll definitely want the CE of ME3.

I'm only waiting until Amazon.co.uk gets it. I'm not paying GAME's ****ing crazy price for it, as much as I want to support Bioware.

The CE will most likely be available in stores following release anyway. I recall the same thing happened with the ME2 CE, where retailers were running out of it online and after the game was released I saw it at my local game store.

I only ask because I don't yet know which country or where I will be living so I might need a while to preorder.

I'd guess there will be boxes of the CE on the shelves during release (meaning pre-orders should be fine whenever). I didn't hear anything about the CE being a "limited print" version like some CE's are, so they are probably gonna produce a lot more copies than there are pre-orders for when release times comes.

Thats just my speculation of course, but ME2 was pretty heavily hyped and there were lots of copies of the CE at my local best buy on release day.

Edit- Oops pheonix ninja'd me ^_^

May as well reserve a physical copy now as a backup plan. You can cancel anytime in the next 7-8 months.
I also like to have all my stuff on steam, but I regret not getting the physical CE for ME2.

My physical copies tend to get wrecked in horrible way. at any rate just saw the CE of ME3 on ORIGIN store for 70 euro that's very very expansive.

Edit:

Just took a more in depth look at what we get on the N7
Edition and beside the hard psychical goodies like art works and metal
case etc all the in game goodies are not a must I don't see any extra
quests or something like that and if I'll buy it on a digital version I
won't receive most of the goodies so I'll expect a lower price or a
Digital Deluxe edition maybe something tweaked for customers purchasing
online.

I would pre-order from a online retailer now. They generally don't charge until your item ships, and you can change things with your order (such as your address) right up until it's being put in it's box to be sent. I noticed that for some places, if the retailer gets fewer CEs then they have orders, the last people to order are out of luck. The only downside is that you need to wait until it arrives in your mailbox, but I have found the wait, while annoying, to be a good thing, as if there are bugs or puzzles I can't get, the forums have long since discovered them and the solutions are posted.

Not sure about other places, but Amazon has an option to have it arrive the day of release.  Put in the same option for DA2 and it was waiting for me when I got home from work that day.  No additional cost.

You know some places on the internet still sales the DA2 signature edition and Witcher 2 limited edition for a very low price. So, I wouldn't be so worry about the deadline. The only game that has really been hardcore about this kind of bs is Assassins creed 2 Black, White or what ever ass edition. ( stopped being a fan since the internet bs ****.)

Don't worry, I'm taking my time and wait. I suggest you do the same.

Paying 99.9euro for mine here in Sweden. Not complaining, been setting off money monthly to pay for not only the CE, but to have the money to support my post-release life style ;D

Can I ask what's the point of NOT preordering a CE and a regular, and before release if you change your mind, you can just cancel one of them? Most retailers will not charge you for preorder, only when the game ships, and even then you can just return it.

For me, it comes down to the retailer specific pre-order bonus(es).  Most likely I'll order through Gamestop/EB Games since they usually get a specific pre-order bonus with most games.  I just wish we were able to find out about those pre-order bonuses earlier on so we can decide which retailer to purchase the game through and know across the board what you're getting.

If I want a physical copy of the game ordering from a retailer in Israel will cost me twice then purchasing online as a digital version. If I order the digital version the collector edition don't add much as a digital copy.

If you order from Origin it charges you when you preorder not when it ships. Right now Origin is the only one with Digital Deluxe.
