Problem with Tranquility quest, Lirene's Fereldan Imports part

Doin a second playthrough with a "goodie" character. Is on the start of Tranquility right now and my problem is when i leave Lirene's Fereldan imports and you start chat with angry fereldan I cant do the peaceful diplomatic choice with saying we are on the same side combat starts no matter what i say never had that issue before so i have no idea what is wrong.

If you have Carver in your group, you can have him talk them down peacefully. It's one of his best moments.

Or Bethany will talk them out of it also. I've never fought those guys but it must be good experience.

The Hawkes I've played with Bethany have never allowed her to intercede for fear of calling attention to her--- interesting to know.

Yeh know is a mage so got carver but working on making him rival so i get achievment and doin that gives him a 10+ friendship still wonder why i cant be diplomatic as i use to...maybe she is terrible using stonearmor making it hit me in the head all the time so i lost all diplomatic grace:lol:

Seems like i found the answer on dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dialogue_wheel when i looked on other things. I often use the charming and funny things to say but i guess in the playthroughs before i had chosen a bit more diplomatic ones
