(Silverrite mines and starting nekkid in the cutscene/battle with a Warden over level 18)

I think that had something to do with armor from other DA:O DLC. I never had any issue in the mines and only at the very start if I had DLC armor equip on my import file. Before I make a final Origins save I always switch to non-DLC armor for the import.

Yes but I didn't know that at the time. I had tried to steer clear of forum spoilers. It was a shock to see myself chilling in the breeze, cutscene, then battle like that! Then later when it was confirmed as bug I had thought it would be fixed, but it never did. And what about people who don't visit forums? They wouldn't be too happy I guess.

Silverite mines I still don't know what causes it. I've tested it many times with many characters, custom gear does not cause it for me, orlesian wardens never got it, sometimes it seemed to come down to a single ring that was in origins. I think it was from one of the shops in orzammar (not dlc),

I don't know but that kind of serious bug should not have happened as I said not everyone comes to forums (has pc version - someone made a fix) or whatever.

EA support was no help either, they give me a laundry list of things to do that has nothing to do with my issue. blarg it.Image IPB

Why does this DLC cost 9.99? It 1/6 of the price of Dragon Age 2. So that means it should be a long DLC right? Did Bioware ever do a DLC for the Dragon Age series that was 10 dollars? How much was Lelianna's Song and Witch Hunt? Thanks

I think Shale was $12 or something like that. Might be less now.

Shale was free if you bought the game new.

Yes but there were people who didn't. So...not free to all.

So far, here is my major complaint against Legacy with as little as we've heard: I think it's hilarious they keep talking about
"tactical gameplay" coming back for this DLC - no tactical camera? No
thanks. I'll just keep kiting your stupid pokey AI around with Avaline and pretend I'm being all crafty and strategic while running in a circle. Trying to actually play tactically without that camera is a frustrating
joke. I can't even click 3/4ths of the surrounding enviroment because it's blocked from view. If this DLC has mostly open enviroments it could be fine... but I doubt it, as they love their corridors. Another example of "oh noes precious consoles can't handle it so lets screw PC players over too". Reconsider this stance for DA3 please. If there is going to be a DA3...:crying:

I have an issue with this "tactical gameplay" line because when I played DA:O I played it as a hack and slash with no tactical or stradgey needed to win other than my various Wardens were rouge with a two-weapons. With Leliana was the archer,  Allistar as a tank, and Wynne or Morrigan (since they were basically interchangable), equiped with the best weapons and armor and load on healing and lyrium potions and enter combat. and kill all enemies. That was pretty much my whole DA:O tactic.

In DAII I do use a lot more fore thought and tactics because of the amount enemies I have to face and each character has a a different set of abilties. Hell I gotten more usage out Fenris in my last playthrough than I ever got out of Stern, Zevron, Ogrhen, the Dog, and Shale combined in all of my numerous playthroughs of DA:O

What I'm saying is that you might play DA:O with more stratdrey and tactics but I never played that way (believe me I TRIED) but I play DAII with the stragdey and tatics that I could never do in DA:O.

They can "fix" dragon age 2 with DLC all they like. I will not spend 1 cent more on DA2. I purchased ALL of the DAO dlc items (except seasonal crap). Of course, my main forum account DAO was registered to has been banned due to my DA2 raging.

IF, and that is a BIG IF, they fix what was wrong with DA2 and return to a silent protagonist with more dialogue choices and deeper character interaction for DA3, I might purchase it depending on user reviews.

They are so going to close this thread because of this comment lol.  As much as I agree with you, you would be wise to not mention something like this in BioWare's own forum XD

Guess what, calling a developer an idiot gets you a ban.

Surprising! To absolutely no one.

I just knocked it out in a couple hours. Bad part is that I missed finishing one mission, and the DLC is not available upon completion. Unless I reload a save before I started my way through.

Back on topic.

I thought the DLC was great and the added history for House Tethras, Justice, and the Architct was perhaps the best part. No spoiler but there is a major Holy S**T moment in the DLC.

AWESOME AWESOME, AWESOME ! :) ...I can tell you only this: DONT WASTE TIME HERE AND GO BUY IT ! DAM IT, GO GO ! :D ..
Its really worth it, without any doubt its the best DLC BW ever made and its worth that money, hell yea it is ! It took me about 7h and half, so its the longest DLC I have ever played. I was not sure about it, but trust me, its really worth it. Everything is new, looks awesome, you are happy when you fight again, not like "again this...aaah", the final boss its real bastard, took me few minutes(more then 30 min I think) and you really need to use tactics and stuff there and be prepared. The story is cool, puzzles everythin. Just go and buy it :D

Yeah, totally agree.  I played about half of the DLC.  The encounter design is definitely improved, the areas are more carefully laid out, but tactical gameplay is a joke.  Without the iso camera and with the poor AoE targeting, it's not worth it to even bother.  I put the difficulty down and play it much like ME- spam fire and ignore my squad except for the occasional heal.

Overall, I think if you like DA2, you'll probably like the DLC.  I was bored by the story and find the cartoonishness just as off-putting as in the base game, and that didn't change.

I was very cautious early on in the DLC, but eventually came to quite like it. On par with Warden's Keep DLC for Origins, in my opinion, it felt like one of the larger areas you went to in DA:O. Very interesting payoff with the lore, also, and encounters and level design were all vastly improved. Overall, keep going in this direction Bioware, I think this is definitely what people want; if sales say otherwise, I think that's just due to residual ill-feeling over some aspects of DA2, and the more stuff you do like this over time, the more you'll recover from that.

Funnily enough, I bought and played Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2 a couple of days before playing this, so already had in mind what good DLC can do. I really enjoyed Legacy, but I think if you guys want inspiration for how to best do DLC, you couldn't do much wrong looking at Minerva's Den. A very tight little standalone story with tragedies of its own.
