I'm hoping he appears in ME3 regardless of what happened in previous games.

Shepard: Conrad? I thought you were dead!
Conrad: I got better.

That will be the grand epic "Luke I am your father" twist ^^

Conrad:  This guy,  with glowing blue eyes put me back together.  You know the best part about it?  He thought I was you.  Can you imagine Conrad Verner as the great Commander Shepard?

Personally though,  I think Conrad Verner is Kai Leng and he's been messing with you for years.

How many of these threads do we need?
For some of use who refuse to meta game In some of my playthroughs I saved the queen in others I didn't.  Based on what my shepard would do.

Either way not saving her is losing content.

I'm tired of people using this as a reason.  Is having every single ounce of dialog really that important to you?

I think people are making a big deal out of nothing, the rachni aren't going to make a lick of difference.

You don't know that.

Too be fair you don't know they'll be any help either.

First off... just b/c you're a renegade doesn't mean that everyone hates you... in fact, in my renegade runs... I save the council as it will help my Shepard in the long run. Yet, when I import it says... "shepard took the renegade path" ... so .. HA! :P

I ALWAYS kill the rachni... as... she's trapped in a friggin cage rigged with acid! ... OF COURSE she's going to saying anything and everything to get you to let her go free!
I know bioware is in the business of always screwing the renegade over... but I hope with this choice they finally break the mold and screw over the paragons for having kept her alive. Say... armies of rachni to fight everywhere you go... along with the cerberus goons.

The Rachni are going to be great allies... or great enemies.

There will be good and bad for either option.

Saving Queen:

Good: Rachni support.
Bad: Rachni indoctrinated enemies.

Destroying Queen:
Good: No Rachni indoctrinated enemies
Bad: No Rachni support

All in all...I can imagine the renegade option as being underwhelming.

My theory is that the rachni husks we will face are actually rachni clones that Cerberus had in their posession. Considering that several cells in the first game were doing experiments with rachni. Also in ME2 there was a large thing in a side mission about Intel on Cerberus and rachni experiments.

Rachni and Krogan don't get along, that will cause problems I think if they both meet eachother.

I hope its bad and good. If you get rachni it locks you out of recruiting another race that hates them.

See... I don't like this. Not because I think paragons shouldn't face consequences, but because I'd like to believe the the possibilty of the galaxy being wiped would be enough for the galactic races to not be stupid, and set aside differences.

The Reapers can somehow mess with Rachni mojo, it'd be interesting to see one paragon choice come back and bite Shep in the soft bits. Though I wouldn't really enjoy the twist, it'd make all sorts of sense.

Killing or saving the queen should have equal benefits because the chocie of either saving or killing her should actually mean something to the player

That wouldn't work because pretty much every race hates them.

We will see what rachni can do in ME3 for better or worse, for me they´re another asset.

I read somewhere(can't remember where it was though) that if you save the Rachni queen,it may not present you some opportunities in ME3...so I guess it has its good/bad side.I understand it like this-if you save her, maybe some races wont help you defeating the Reapers(like the Krogans..you know, because of the war with the Rachni) and by saving her you'll have her help against the Reapers.

I saved her, but since we know that Rachi husks will show if we save the Rachni Queen, well, I suppose it will be problem in the short-term. Assuming that the queen herself is not Indoctrinated, then ultimately, she'll be a major ally (I hope). I'm sure that she certainly meant what she said about helping, etc., but who knows how it will turn out.

We learn in ME2 that the Rachni Queen will rally the Rachni to aid Shepard fight those who 'soured' the song of the Rachni in the Rachni Wars. A huge ally basically, don't save the Queen, lose a huge ally...makes sense I guess...but the Renegade option is crap here, anyone else agree?

Cloning is bad.. And plus I hate bugs so she dies in my game. They wont be a useful ally, they will just cancel themselves out because half of the brood will be indoctronated and or turned into husks and the rest of the rachni will be focused and fully occupied fighting their hostile bretheren.

And to tie up a loose end for future lore and games, they will all die in the end anyway

I don't really mind if the Rachni Queen "goes bad".  I'd object to it having a significant impact on your chances of victory but the same goes for any previous choice (since it'd be bad for the game really).  I think you should still have to deal with consequences but I would hate to think there could ever be a situation where a particular series of choices makes the game "unwinnable".

Hard to say is it good for sake of war as save Rahcni Queen. Because it can be both, bad and good.

How ever, it's not a question, is saving race good thing.

So, if Rachni Queen is agaist me in ME3, that's fine. How ever, I wanna have possibility save her again, not because she was my enemy, but because sake of the race.

Ahhh the Great Rachni debate. Will they? Wont they?

Cant wait to see the outcome of the Novaria decision. Was my Shep too trusting? Or was she right in getting a brilliant new ally?

The Rachni. Will they be the saviors of the galaxy or will they doom it? I still don't know what's the best choice and it will be fun to see if my Shep was naive or if she was right

After only 2 years, the Rachni shouldn't be capable of having an impact on a galactic scale.

Post-Reapers, a paragon risks creating a galaxy dominated by the cured Krogan and the Rachni

You don't know that.

You don't know that the rachni will be a boon.  If the reapers can simply send a oil tone through space to indoctrinated insect species you may be shooting yourself in the foot. You won't know unless Bioware reveals such details (which I doubt they will do) or until the game releases. Their current pattersn seesm to be Paragon = right choice, Renegade = pointless choice. But mayne they do a 180 in ME3. You never know.
