Read alot myself. But I can't for the life of me understand why people hate them. They havesome great charater expodition, with Seran in revilation, with Paul Greyson inAsension and Retribution, and with Kia Lang in Retribution.Les_Carver wrote...
To be honest. I bought all the books and -TO ME- they sucked, the characters and the dialogue were the worst, I hated them all, I couldn't believe I was reading Drew Karpyshyn at all. And well, to hear that -at the very least- one of their characters would make it into ME3 (Kai Leng) made me roll my eyes.
Still, even when I'm really biased towards this decision of BioWare, I hope his role and development in the game will be significantly better than his role and development in the book. Or that he just happens to be one random cameo "sub-boss" that only the fans who has read the books or knows about them will know who he is.
If it were up to me, I'd do my best to keep all the ominous characters from the books out of ME3.
Everyone time Seran showed up in Revilation,he controled the scene. Paul show a new veiw of Cerburus, and what happen when a person is indocrinated. And Kia Lang intensified every scene he was in.
Ofcourse one could hate it for the main characters, but they can easily be ignored, I read for the new veiw of the universe. Revilation is written like a Movie to book novel. Acension problem is it's ploting, too many things happen by chance. Retibution is a little smarter...but what I don't understand is how Sanders forget the reason why she wason the Quarian FLOTILA IN THE FIRST PLACE.<_<
The books of fine, the only problem with them is if you were looking for characterisation with the heros of the book.
