The problem I have with the books is that they make canon some of the choices from the games. Meaning that if you did not choose a choice in the game that coincides with the books it all seems a little off. I did not read the books but I heard that *Spoilers* Shep keeps the reaper base *end spoilers* among other things. Since I didn't not do these things in my game I feel like the books are not even relevant to my playthoughs. I wish the books would have stayed completely away from Sheps decisions. That being said, It would be interesting to meet some of these book characters and see how they react to MY decisions.
book doesn't make anything canon. in the newest book (the only book that comes after the events of ME2) it is said that Shepard "destroyed the operations" at the Collector base. if you didn't blow it up you killed all the collectors there and thus destroyed what they are doing by proxy and if you blew it up you litterally destroyed operations there.

for the faults of her idealized character, one of the steadfast mentions of kahlee is her knowledge of AI....she may be useful...

Personally, i liked the books. They gave good insight into the universe as whole, and added context to otherwise bit part players.
People either liked them, or they do'nt.
Deal with it.

Regardless of whether or not she's a rubbish character, Sanders should be really important to the whole story, so I'd actually be annoyed if she didn't show up in ME3. Isn't she supposed to be one of the foremost experts on AI? Plus she's studying stuff that could be significant to our fight against the Reapers. As for Gillian, isn't she supposed to be the most powerful human biotic in existence? I'd be quite disappointed if we didn't see her in the quarian fleet.
yah, I agree... these 2 characters received too much attention to not make an appearance in the game (unless they die in the coming book because I presume the events of the books will happened before ME3).
the only canon from the book/comics is that
1) Udina is make counciler
2) Shepard will live no matter what (which is the only way for ME3 to continue anyway)
3) the base is destroyed (but it could also meant that all collectors are dead)

Like Hendel, I couldn't help but feel protective of her throughout ascension, even though I don't have a daughter of my own. Speaking of Hendel, I also hope he makes an appearance. And Kahlee, who has played such a major part in all 3 novels. It will suck if any of them die.

I'd actually be happy if the novel characters are in their little part of the story, but I do not want them interacting with the game because I hate them that much. Horribly written character= death on sight.

not all the characters r horribly written... besides, Drew and Marc (for comic series ) are part of the writing team for ME (game series), if you don't like their writing, I can't see you liking the game either..

Uh, Mac was responsible for Garrus and Wrex, and I liked those two over everyone Drew wrote, including ME1 Liara. Only one I remotely liked was Anderson, but that's not saying much.

A decision which I hope to god isn't made the "official" canon for ME3. <_<dantares83 wrote...
