By popular request, I've written a basic replacement for the ill-maintained ServerMonitorConsole.exe. Not all of the functionality that ServerMonitorConsole purports to expose is actually available due to design flaws in the underlying server admin protocol, but functionality to manage the player ban lists (including unbanning players without restarting the server), view the active player list, and send broadcast messages to all connected players is included.
The ability to boot players is *not* available due to design flaws in the underlying protocol that prevent this functionality from working reliably.
Unlike ServerMonitorConsole, NWNServerConsole works with servers that require XP1 or XP2. You must configure the server admin password on your server in order to be able to use NWNServerConsole to connect to it and check the server's status.
Please note that the server console consumes a player slot on the server (like a regular player connection). It also requires a valid CD-Key (though not necessarily a valid account name), but the server console does not block a player from using the same CD-Key simultaneously so long as the CD-Key is valid. This behavior is consistent with that of the old ServerMonitorConsole application.
Note: While you can connect to a server with the server console while using the same CD-Key as a player on that server, the server console must connect first. Otherwise, the player connection will block the CD-Key as in use. This limitation is inherent to the way in which the server accounts for CD-Key usage for server admin connections.
