Seboist is the reason why you like this thread? :D

I like how he talks about how his FemShep has the hots for TIM. There doesn't seem to be any indication whatsoever that TIM will be an LI so it's all just wishful thinking but I hope it continues b/c it's funny.

There's a record of a conversation Legion has with EDI.

That's right, I forgot about that.

That's quite all right, you don't have to protest so much. I certainly can't fault your taste.

In fact, we have the answer from Mac Walters that TIM will be a LI when varren fly. But we pro-Cerberus folks have a lot of practice with hope beyond reason.

Oh, TIM doesn't need protection. History will vindicate us.

TIM especially doesn't need protection with my femshep. <3

Ah, so your Femshep is a complete moron, then.

After spending an entire game speaking through holographic images my femshep doesn't want anymore... barriers between the two when they meet. <3

Right. No more barriers. TIM had no idea that his "necessary precaution" would create so much UST.

My head canon is what counts. That's how Zaeed was the leading man of ME2 and how my femshep ended up in bed with him.

Wow , that's just great, man. That could never happen in my game b/c Zaeed doesn't like dialogue wheels and only tells all my Sheps three stories from his past before wanting to talk later and then three more after each mission until he goes into rerun mode.

Which is sad considering he's better developed personality-wise than most companions.

Sounds like your FemShep has an Electra complex.

It's a lot easier to know how many cigarettes TIM smokes per day, and you don't have to breach security to do that.

All you need to do is know which star system TIM's base is in, and send a probe to analyze the amount of cigarette butts in the trash cubes floating in the vacuum. Same with alchohol and dish-water recycling.

As for the brand of TIM's suits, SB merely happen to know the bank account # that TIM uses to buy his clothes with, and found it on the list of recent customers at the vendor.

Same with the trysts. All SB needs is indirect contact with a close friend of a mistress of TIM's. In other words: Gossiping women.

Except for that one part where Paragon Shepard cracks the whip and Zaeed goes "Yes Massa".

Who, Zaeed?  He's got a lot of fun stories, but he seems to be pretty one-dimensional.  After dragging him everywhere for a while, listening religiously to his between-mission chatter, and watching all loyalty mission endings on YouTube, I can't help but conclude there's not much to him.

Granted, not all characters need depth to succeed, and Zaeed's simplicity is kind of refreshing, but I kind of wish (however vainly it may be) that he'll make a comeback in ME3 so we can explore him a bit more.  Same goes for Kasumi and Morinth: so much potential, not quite enough delivery.

Of course, if he doesn't, that just leaves more room for head!canon.

If you were talking about TIM, I agree; I've done everything I can to analyze his character apart from reading the novels (which I'd do, but I hate tie-in material, thanks to you, StarCraft), and I still can't make heads or tails of him.  In the good way, I mean.  As in "what is up with this guy," not "what the hell are the writers doing?"

Well I just head!canoned your head!canon and now your FemShep's father was a weird fusion of TIM and Zaeed.

Unless she's an Earthborn, in which case the father figure was a badass crime boss.

I found TIM's dossier to be particularly uninformative. They managed to breach the security enough to tell how many cigarettes he smokes per day, but not what he's planning? It doesn't tell us anything expect that he smokes a lot, drinks a lot, has a lot of trysts, and sends a lot of messages across the galaxy. It's nothing I couldn't have figured out on my own. I was very disappointed...and I believe the Shadow Broker was, too. ;).

Same. I felt trolled by reading his dossier. You'd expect to see his full, who the hell he was, and how he ended up as Leader of Cerberus to be in there. But instead you got how many cigarettes he's smoked today and which asari he snagged. Not very original.

Oh, do read the novels, they're as good as it gets when it comes to video game adaptations.

Of course, there isn't much about the entire character of Zaeed but his personality stands out as being one of the most memorable for me. The reason being that he isn't plagued with problems and is unable to solve them himself, he was proactive during his loyalty mission and notifies to Shepard that it's his mission and not yours.

It took me a couple of playthroughs for this to click in but you've got this badass mercenary who's fairly typical in his behavior but shows that he's a lone wolf, he's only tagging along because Cerberus payed him to. I'm absolutely in love with the scene where he sets the factory on fire and doesn't listen to Shepard, I love the scene where he threatens Shepard when you're considering about going to save the workers and find it amazing how he actually challenges you directly if Vido goes away.

This screamed to me that Shepard isn't this infalliable commander which everybody listens to, Zaeed is his own man and he's telling it to your face with a gun. He's furious because you made a decision for him on his own mission, something which he brought you along as part of his contract.

Everybody else has this personality which Shepard's magical personality charms them, they don't threaten or challenge Shepard. It's a shame that they added the charm option at the end of the loyalty mission if you let Vido escape, however it's the thought of the scene that counts.

Yes, it's rather astonishing that Cerberus picked him for a freaking suicide mission where teamwork would logically be paramount. At least he's not completely stupid enough to throw the whole thing off if you don't bow to his own whims, assuming Shepard's a Paragon.

Evolution, Retribution and perhaps Ascension. The games understandably don't do him much justice in terms of characterization.

I loved that scene between Shepard and Zaeed that starts with Shepard saying "Twenty years is a long time to hold a grudge." It was both engaging and intimate. One of the rare moments when I felt connected to a character - most of the time, I didn't care when teammates told me about their past. And a character opening up in anger is very believable.
