That is so harsh!

  Yes you can, you just can't change anything once you get there.

Well, if they surrender, I'll accept, of course.

One of the many appeals of TIM's romance is that hardcore Paragons claim that they're not interested, so I'd only have to share TIM with the chosen few, and those would be the people with the similar worldview to mine.

Of course, that's what Paragons like to claim. I bet many would be drawn into a romance with TIM regardless, hero and adversary always have the most chemistry, and it all depends on the quality of writing really. And then TIM's thread would be over one thousand pages and going one page per minute, make no mistake about that...just imagine all those pics of TIM with femshep.

It would have been interesting to see if there wasn't  an actual romance per say but a dynamic where they trade subtle flirtations and snarky remarks with each other how interested players would be in going all the way with it? It might have even influenced them to become more pro-Cerberus....

I have to admit that even though I mainly played as Renegade femshep and after having become pro-Cerberus that I didn't consider the notion of a TIMmance until I thought of the Aeon Flux/Trevor Goodchild love/hate relationship and how well that'd translate into ME. I was mainly fixated on a Zaeedmance before then...

I admit to having something of a crush on Meredith in DA2, but I could sympathize with her because of the issue with her sister and her good intentions clashing with obvious mental illness. TIM seems to lack this.

I don't know, TIM seems to like pampering femshep. He bought her a bigger, better and more luxurious ship and a faster car.

He does that regardless of what FemShep does (prior to the Collector Base decision).

My FemShep prefers to send Miranda to give TIM a monthly BJ and just take care of cashing his checks.
He's like a sugar daddy whom you only need to meet every few weeks for a ten-minute holographic meeting where you discuss your plans for Galactic domination. Seriously, TIM's the best boss that there is. The Council in ME1 was pretty nice too, but TIM is better.

My femshep would assign herself to that job. I'm sure her work ethic would blow TIM away as she provides a good hands-on experience.

I dont think aeon/trevor could work on Mass effect. Especially the dynamic in fhe initial shorts.
People would flower it up or make it very weird with an akuze shep.

Why don't you do that BEFORE they resurrect your Shepard.

I can't go back in time.

Too bad. It would've been hilarious.

Shepard: *kills TIM*
Harbinger: *kills Shepard*
Shepard: *is dead*
Shepard: *is dead*
Shepard: *decomposing*
Shepard: *is rotten*

*critical mission failure*

But hey, something like that could still happen in the future! Let's not lose hope yet.

While your taste in women seems to be improving, why is it that a character needs to have some kind of defect (or you assuming there is one) for you to like them?

Doesn't everyone have defects?
Though, going by your standards, I'd hardly consider Liara or Merrill to have "defects."

Many people, yes, but hardly everyone. Take me, for example; no sane man will deny that I am both magnificent and perfect. Same goes for the other Cerbies, who come pretty darn close to perfection as well.

Merrill is an elf blood mage, whereas Liara is an asari. There.

Liara's creepy obsessive stalker persona is a major defect. Merrill's main defect is that she's so unremarkable and forgettable than she may as well have never existed.

She has admirable focus, moreso than most other maidens.

Merrill's main defect is that she's so unremarkable and forgettable than she may as well have never existed.

Your loss, Merrill's gain.

DA2 as a whole is everyone's loss but I have to give it to Merrill for inadvertently ensuring human dominance in the marches when my Hawke wiped out all the elves and burned down their hot dog stands.

I like Liara and TIM for many similar reasons. Reasons that made them stand out from every other character in the ME universe:

1. They saved your life/brought you back from the dead;

2. They support you whole-heartedly and unconditionally;

3. They offer wise advice and vital information to you, free of charge;

4. They never question your actions or your judgments, even when they disagree.

That's why I am proud to support these characters. TIM as a boss and an adviser, Liara as a best friend and a life partner. On top of that:

5. They are very intelligent, and make great conversations;

6. They are extremely good at their jobs;

7. They have good and powerful connections;

8. They are badass.

I puzzles me how so many people could be fan of one character but not the other.

Liara and TIM both? Looks like you're into intel brokers. I'm going to hazard a guess...Does world domination sound attractive?

He only insists upon his opinion over yours *once*, and that's because he revived you and funded your whole mission. I can only dream of a boss like that - although my boss IRL is not too far off (apart from funding).

Also, I take that you agree with 1,2,3,5,6,7,8 then? I'm glad. :-)

Liara is the most favorable to Cerberus squadmate from ME1 I'll give her that. She speaks of them in a glowing manner at the start of LOTSB "they've brought you back and now they're giving me the opportunity to do the same with Feron" or some such.

If she had the same personality in ME1 as she does in ME2 then I might have romanced her.

I think he insists it twice, the first being near Freedom's Progress and the second if you destroy the base.
And yes, Liara and TIM are rather similar. It's just that TIM does it all in a much more evil way.

Indeed I am into intel brokers. I even find the previous SB attractive, despite his abysmal waist-to-hip ratio. I mean, read his dossier. What a remarkable person! Didn't stop me from killing him though.

As for world domination, nah. Not right now. Too much responsibility. To have the option would be nice though.

Define "evil".

He deliberately causes what is net harm to the galaxy for the sake of an esoteric goal, human domination.

Even in ME1 I knew she's a hidden badass. The baby-faced innocence was obviously a facade, like Leliana's lay sister outfit. I mean, she's Benezia's daughter, got her PhD when she's like 15 in Human years, is an expert on dangerous alien artifacts and Galactic extinctions, and a walking weapon of mass destruction in combat.

If you take her to Noveria she takes down Benezia without so much as blinking. I took her to Ilos, and while everyone else (including Wrex, who's an utter BAMF) was like "Sh!t this place is sooo creepy!", only Liara and I (or rather, my FemShep) were like "Yay! Prothean ruins! I'm having so much fun! Wait, let's save the Galaxy first..." OTP is OTP.

Honestly, I wasn't a tiny bit shocked when I first see her in ME2. Instead I burst into tears of joy.
