Nothing's definite known about Miranda really, just a few lines of a vague draft. Mirimancers are blowing this out of proportion. It's not like you know for the fact that you have to fight her for 40 percent of the game or something like that. And romances aren't even in the leak at all, they weren't even written by that point.

She had a lot of potential, though - a strong female character, morally gray character, character with the goals bigger than her immediate "friends and family" tiny circle, "Renegade" human female who doesn't answer blindly to the Alliance, who fought by Shepard's side in ME2, a human other than TIM and Shepard who actually cares about humanity, instead of merely following orders...she's got a niche. Many people bought that potential. Too bad she hasn't actually filled that niche.
