And in what way do you imagine that is what's going on here?
This all started because I asked if people were just posting in the character of their Cerberus lapdog characters, or if they actually believed the things they were saying... at which point you went off on some bizzare tangent that has lead you to this point, in which about half your posts have been some kind of strange non-sequitor.
Your Honor, the prosecution can think of no better argument, and no more convincing proof of the previous argument, than that provided by the defense. We rest our case.
So it's some kind of postmodernist thing, where you keep talking to make it look like you had something to say?

Hail TIM!
That's a very good picture. What's more, it's on topic, which is a rare and treasured thing of late. I'm just going to quote it here.
TIM believes in Shepard's ability to come back from the dead. He won't give up on her.

Hah. Considering what Udina's done to the new Council if the old one died, this is likely for the best. They're not losing ground, they're biding their time. If you keep the old Council and choose Udina, he can't do anything because his vote is constantly outnumbered one to three by the old gang.
Odd that you disregard Liara then, but it's incredibly rare for a society to put out more work than it needs to survive. Humans would do the exact same thing under the same circumstances.Asari have something they keep very secret from the rest of the galaxy, something that gives them an edge over other species without any effort. How do they use their power and their long lives? Working as strippers. Listen to Matriarch Aethyta.
No longer an issue with us, luckily.Turians are military imperialists who have the biggest, strongest fleet in the galaxy. How do they use that power? They delight in shooting new, unexperienced species on sight at a slightest excuse. Remember Shanxi!
I'm not sure if there was any other option there.Salarians have bioweapons that can make your species cease to exist before you're even conceived - power over life itself. They use that power to protect themselves. They mold and shape a warlike species into a powerful force, to serve as cannon fodder, then, when it's out of control, they slam them back at the edge of non-existence - until they need it again.
So you're completely disregarding the whole "standard galactic governance" thing as being at all useful to you? They're not at the helm because they're good at it. They rule because they have really big guns. And they're the ones who're supposed to be opposing the Reapers, not humanity. They have one job only - protecting the galaxy. If they can't do it right, they're useless to us.
No you're not. You're going to have a weak, easily killed Council and a lot of infighting at the worst possible time. Killing the Council is like masturbation, and I think you know the punchline for that.Weakening the asari and the turians is not going to create less competition. It's going to create more. There are dozens of species in the galaxy. We only see a few. And only a few chosen are on the Council. Once the old Council is no more, the "lesser species who can't handle the responsiblity" are going to rise, they won't be stifled by the trio anymore. We're going to have a much more lively galaxy, actually, with humanity at the helm.
The fact that you're exclusionary about this leaves me with no choice but to stop you.And then there is the rest of the galaxy - completely unexplored, with different species like the rachni to encounter, to compete with, to challenge. The galaxies are many. There is no shortage of life to meet. We'll never be lazy, we'll never grow bored. Many wonders await humanity, many dark places to explore, many myseries and secrets to discover...if we manage to survive.

See, this the "I know you are but what am I" thing I refered to earlier. I ask if you're doing something, and then you do this juvenile thing where you act like I was refering to myself and as if something is going on that I'm not comprehending. But there isn't, you're just doing the "talk a lot and everyone will think I have a deep point" thing. Instead of the sound and the fury signifying nothing, you're the smirk and the snide.
And the sad thing is, I've seen you make many intelligent and thoughtful posts on other subjects... so I'm not sure why you're suddenly being a juvenile twerp about this one thing.

I mean, it is great fun when you lack the introspection to notice the slings and arrows of outrageous insinuations, or setting you up for mockery you walk into while you try to refute it. And seeing you bounce around from 'I couldn't care less' to 'I certainly do care, let me try and tear you down', or from 'I will insult others' to 'I will pretend I am the reasonable, mature one here,' that's just classic. And, of course, you're egotistical enough to demand the last word to placate your sense of self, rather than just walking away. That gives you all the independence of a rubber ball.
But you've offered nothing insightful, constructive, or worthy of respect in pages, and so you deserve nothing of the sort as long as you continue this. Other threads? I'll deal with you as you warrant. Here? I do the same. You warrant nothing serious, and only the comical dismissal of bad parody.
Or is this too honest? I can go back to flippant and irreverant if you don't like that.

I'm not that interested in zingers -- perhaps you're fundamentally misreading my half of this exchange.
I started out trying to grasp the odd context of this thread -- are people engaged in some sort of semi-in-character exchange in their statements of enthusiastic support for TIM, Cerberus, the concept of humanity uber alles, etc, that they feel obliged to never break from? Or are they actually serious in those statements? The latter is frankly kinda sad and scarey, given the history of the real-life groups that parallel Cerberus.
Is there any attempt at serious discussion, or are people just looking for an echo-chamber in which to listen to each other say good things about TIM and Cerberus?
I honestly don't understand how someone could really think that their femShep could fall in love with a man like TIM, as an example. Really, I don't. Objectively, TIM is a monster.
And then... you went on the smirk and wink assault. For pages. Because for some reason you think I deserve some kind of mocking for my attempt to grasp the context of a perplexing thread. And so I've been trying to deflect whatever it is you think you're up to in that, while figuring out why you wish to do it.

Could someone tell me how they see those 2 coming together romantically. Would TIM still behave like hes doing in the game and risk Shepard's life or keep her in the dark on his real intentions? Would Shep be his <favorite mistress> or would it be a commited relationship?
Like I said Im just curious.

That's a bit of a long one. People get bored after 150 characters. Good striving for reasonableness superiority, though. A bit undermined by prior arrogance and the inability to tell/accept mockery at your expense, as well as past arguments, but linking to an authoritative source that you googled shows you went the extra mile. Again, however, undermined by prior claims you couldn't care less, plus the picture on page 182: oh, that one just won't let you smell clean. The bouncing comes off as schizophrenic: you can't decide whether to be placating or aggressive, and so you try and do both. It's better to keep them distinctly separate and focus on one at a time.Killjoy Cutter wrote...

The mixing of business and backhand is always a tricky one, and I'm afraid you just don't pull it off. On one hand, you're appealing to my sense of dignity when I've already admitted I have none for you, but then you ignore your own complicity in this silliness. Your inability to free-flow between serious and farcical makes you come off as more of a stody grump than you already are, however much that might be.
You certainly have the basics of spelling, punctuation, and grammar down pat. No need to fret there. The professional look gets undermined when you post a link as the web address, rather than hide the address in a link-word. Consider it, next time: it allows you to do snarky sayings, and it encourages people to click the link.
On a N-S-E rankinging, this one warrants an S. Nothing stands out as exceptional, and there's not enough focus. But there's nothing particularly abysmal about it either.

For trolling you. Successfully, no less: I took a grumpy angry person and made it comedic trough hammy retorts, leading directions, and proving that somehow taking no offense is the most juvenile thing you can do.

Poor lies kill credibility. The basis of an insult is always to evoke a response, and you've certainly tried your hardest: you've just also conceded that rubber-glue defense of not taking offense annoys you more than it was supposed to annoy me. And hey, the picture of 182: a wonderful slight at my ability to have relationships... that never really took hold. That hurt, really.Killjoy Cutter wrote...

Now you're returning to that schizo-thing again. You can't keep your tone stable, and it undermines every later appeal.
