You don't? So you'd be fine if Shepard romanced the VS regardless of your choice? Or if he always killed Wrex? It's mishandling the choice you made.

Unless TIM in ME3 is psychologically traumatized, mostly focused on potentially killing himself, and can be completely disabled after five dialogue lines, you're reaching so hard I can hear the tendons snapping.Colonist Shepard is capable of being extremely friendly to Talitha, despite her holding a gun at him.
What exactly happens if you didn't recruit Garrus? You don't? So you'd be fine if Shepard romanced the VS regardless of your choice? Or if he always killed Wrex? It's mishandling the choice you made.

ME 1? You miss out on that mission with the organ growing doctor. ME 2, very little.

Fine. You have Cerberus troops presumably siding with the Reapers and trying to kill you this moment. What do you want your Shepard to do?I'm not the one who keeps restricting the pool of available choices. But if you want more, the woman who accidentally shoots Shepard on Feros in addition to all of the colonists who are trying to kill Shepard on Feros. Or do they not count either because of extenuating circumstance? They're still Shepard showing kindness to those who have made an attempt on his life.

Would Shadow Broker Liara suddenly siding with the Reapers against Shepard be good writing, after you just helped her into power in the bridging DLC? No matter what your past relationship with her or anyone else was?Xilizhra wrote...

It's the only correct answer. Well, "Ebonheart" is also acceptable.
You're missing the point, if your Shepard's relationship with other people/factions is different than the one you've chosen in a previous game (where you had a choice on how you were allowed to treat said person/faction), would you see it as bad writing?

Those were relatively minor characters, and didn't side against Shepard as much as he did against themXilizhra wrote...

If TIM's actions were to remain the same, what would your Shepard do?They're already doing both.

Siding with Cerberus or not, depending on their preferences; decide for themselves whether they value pro-humanism and use of dangerous tech over pro-alienism and cooperation.Xilizhra wrote...

It's not as if the stages and ultimate goal in the game should be radically different, just an alternate context and means of reaching that goal would be more than enough.

A re-enactment of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill (or, "Kill TIM"), in place of ME3's (allegedly) horrific plot.
Starring:
Commander Shepard as Beatrix Kiddo aka "The Bride"

TIM as Bill

Kasumi Goto as Oren Ishii

Miranda Lawson as Elle Driver

Jacob Taylor as Vernita Green

Admiral David Anderson as Hattori Hanzo

Admiral Steven Hackett as Pai Mei

Well, since the bride ended up getting knocked up by Bill I must say that it's definately an improvement over ME3's story.

Harkin was always portrayed as a selfish a**. Nassana....I do admit it made me raise an eyebrow when she went from willing to manipulate a spectre to kill a pirate group in her own interests to mass murdering her employees. That was quite a jump, so when that asari said I knew what she was capable of, I kind of went 'Well, I knew she was manipulative, but mass murdering her employees wasn't what I had on my mind.'Xilizhra wrote...

Former lovers at each other's throats? Great material right there. It beats the Illusive Saren story we have going on now with Renegade Shepard being stuck in a Paragon's game.
