I'm not, they go out and further drill into your head that Cerberus are absolute monsters and all of ME2 was them simply pretending to be nice, none of the people you've met except for possibly Archer are "true" Cerberus and they've begun to commit atrocities for the sake of atrocities.

Almost every companion keeps mentioning how right you were to not trust Cerberus if you blew up the base, keeping it has them questioning your judgement and insulting you most of the time.

Oh god. Does that one sided BS still continue in ME3?

Gee. I wonder what ham-fisted lines my squadmates are gonna feed me. <_<

But hey. Atleast the Cerberus plotline is less contrived when you save the CB.

Thankfully, you can call out a few of them on being hypocrites and working for them too.

Please be Tali and Liara. Please be Tali and Liara. Please be Tali and Liara.

Actually, doesn't even have to be Liara.

Please be Tali. Please be Tali.

Depends on what aspect of it you look at: if you keep the base, their betrayal is rather contrived, whereas them getting the tech from it regardless is so if you blow it.

So thats Garrus, Tali and most likely also Liara. That still leave the VS and Vega going to spoonfeed me those annoying lines.

Only one I've found so far is reminding Joker how much he was praising the leather seats.

And this... somehow wasn't more obvious than a neon elephant dancing the Macarena in your living room?

Well, yeah. I would.

Cerberus never seemed cartoonishly evil to me. ME3 is really over the top about it. Hey, you aren't going to agree with me. So, whatever. I'm glad you enjoy sucking on Bioware's teat.

They don't to me either. Cartoonish evil doesn't have body counts.

Because it goes against everything we've been presented so far? Why wouldn't Cerberus recruit Joker, Gardner, Gabby and such? Why wouldn't they use Jacob if he's willing to work with them despite their past?

You know, you're right.

"Comic book evil" is that I was thinking of.

He's the ILLUSIVE Man. Why would he present an inconvenient truth to Shepard? Gardner has no chance of stumbling upon anything untoward given his noncombat skills, and Joker/Ken/Gabby were all recruited specifically for Shepard'e benefit. Cerberus won't turn away decent people if it can use them while lying to them.

As has been stated so many times the problem with Cerberus in ME3 is that none of their actions make any sense. Their actions do not benefit their goals. Their size and tactics contradict everything we've learned about them so far.

As long as Garrus doesn't after he explicitly tells you that keeping the base is a good idea at that decision.

They aren't bullsh!tting when they label renegade the "failure" path in the docs.

And if you can include enough decent people who are willing to join, why not count them as 'real' Cerberus as well? Why should there be an 'inconvenient truth' in the first place, when that 'truth' can be so easily subverted?

It's like this fixation that the moderates and idealists don't qualify, even though we can establish people willing to put up with Cerberus.

If you can recruit idealists for the idealist aspects of Cerberus, and cynics for the cynical aspects, a non-unitary group like Cerberus is one of the best candidates for embracing all sides of human nature.

Naturally. But hey, Bioware doesn't want all sides of human nature to be represented. Because well, Cerberus has to be eeeevil. Can't have decent people in there. /sarcasm.

The script reads like something you'd expect from a children's cartoon show not a damn mature science fiction story.

You know. When ME3 is released, I might be tempted to make a follow up on my "Harbinger vs Dr. Evil" movie with the Illusive man instead of Harbinger. :innocent:

I'm sure there's plenty of Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes footage for you to compare ME3 with.
