"It's Bioware. I wouldn't be surprised if he straight up cackling evil in the 3rd game." - Erzherzog
"I destroyed the base. Come on it's Bioware. I bet the Illusive man is the leader of the Reapers or something." - Joghurt
"Not going to lie, I kept expecting a PLOT TWEEEST
that reveals TIM (lol, Tim) as an agent of the Reapers or Harbinger in
disguise or something equally retarded. I'm still surprised it didn't
turn out that way, but what the hell, there's still one sequel left to
go for an asinine plot twist." - Lesifoere
"When since the Reapers are robots or something I
am guessing that in ME3 you will defeat them with some sort of virus or
hack you will find in Prothean ruins or something. You will activate it
and they will self destruct, turn off or something like that. There is
no way Bioware is gonna come up with some sort of mega blaster that will
be able to kill all those Reapers that were shown in the end of ME2.
That would be retarded." - Joghurt

TIM's a damn fine man with all the suaveness of James Bond being reduced to nothing more than a stereotypical mustache twirling villain due to lousy, horrible writing and immature, hypocritical douchenozzles like Someone With Mass.
Le sigh.
And BW wanting to cut corners by not providing real C&C.

I kind of expected that BioWare would turn TIM into a villain (especially due to that smile). But I didn't think--or want to think--that they'd stoop to such hack writing.Seboist wrote...
Some predictions from RPG Codex from Feb 2010 that turned out to be awfully accurate.

You'd think a character that's supposedly Walters' favorite and is voiced by freakin Martin Sheen would recieve some great respect in the writing department but nope. Hell, Sheen's voice alone should have justified a Witcher-esque "Cerberus path". Instead his talent gets wasted on voicing a character who's just a villain and a complete assclown one at that.

ME2: Let's make them into a group which represents the best and worst of humanity!
ME3: Let's make them into space ****s which represent the worst of humanity with no redeeming qualities, let's also tie in all the bad things from ME1 to them so people -really- learn to hate them!

And don't forget that all their best bits weren't actually their bits because to be 'twoo Cerberus' you must be completetly evil.Dave of Canada wrote...

Well, ME3 is pretty much huge fan ****** with almost every character they hate ending up indoctrinated and needing a bullet between the eyes.
Which is sad when you think about. I mean Udina, really? Can't someone be a humorous douche without being evil. ME3 is a 30 hour Saturday morning cartoon.

I really have to wonder whose bright idea was to completely disregard the Batarian plot buildup of Arrival in order to shoehorn Cerberus into a reaper allied superpower despite all established lore about them being a small organization that were nearly bankrupted and later crippled.
We had all this lore about the Batarians being at odds with the Alliance for decades over the Attican Traverse resulting in numerous clashes(Skylian blitz, Torfan,BDTS and that raid on the orbital mirror producing facility) and which culiminated in a Hegemony star system destroyed and 300K of their people being killed. It seemed logical to me that there was an Alliance in the making with the Reapers in order to go after the Alliance. We already had a precedence with this with Sovereign able to make Alliances with the Heretic Geth,Saren, numerous Krogan and even some Asari. Even Harbinger was able to get the Shadow Broker and the various merc groups to assist him.
Honestly, ME3 is just as much a disservice to the Batarains as it is to Cerberus. We could have some real neat socio-political drama involving Shepard fighting off the Hegemony while at the same time trying to figure out a way to get them to turn against the Reapers but nope, we get some doo doo ass shit Paragon fan ****** story about Cerberus instead.
