Then again, if Mass Effect were a modern Disney film, at least we'd get a majestic villain song.

Pft, I'd prefer Cerberus Treasure Island.

The Illusive Man:
When I was just a lad looking for my true vocation
The Reapers said "Now son, this choice deserves deliberation
Though you could be a soldier or perhaps a mercenary
My boy why not consider a more challenging career?"

Cerberus:
Hey ho ho!
You'll cruise to foreign planets
And you'll keep your mind and body sound
By working off-world!

The Illusive Man:
True friendship and adventure are what we can't live without

All:
And when you're a Cerberus operative

Jacob:
That's what the job's about!

The Illusive Man:
Upstage, lads, this is my ONLY number!
Now take Queen Aria, the Citadel Council despise her
But to the Terminus she's a hero and they idolize her
It's how you look at "terrorists" that makes them bad or good
And I see us as members of a noble brotherhood!

Cerberus:
Hey ho ho!
We're honorable men
And before we lose our tempers we will always count to ten

The Illusive Man:
On occasion there may be someone you have to execute

All:
But when you're a Cerberus operative

Miranda:
You don't have to wear a suit!

... what?

Ashe:
I could have been an adjudant
I like taking things apart

Gavin Archer:
I could have been a doctor
But I just had too much heart

Miranda:
I could have been in politics
Cause I've always been a big sl- *cough*

Kai Leng:
And me
I could have been a Commander

The Illusive Man:
Some say that Cerberus tortures and should be feared and hated
I say we're victims of bad press it's all exaggerated
We'd never stab you in the back, we'd never lie or cheat
We're just about the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet

Cerberus:
Hey ho ho!
It's one for all for one!
And we'll share and share alike with you and love you like a son/daughter
We're gentlemen of science and that's what we're proud to be
And when you're a Cerberus operative

The Illusive Man:
You'll be honest, brave and free
The soul of humanity
You'll be loyal and fair and on the square
And most importantly

Cerberus:
When you're a Cerberus operative
You're always in the best of company!

You just took this thread to a whole 'nother level, and here I thought Long John Silver's version was already glorious.

How about you show some semblance of maturity and not encourage the bullying of that poor woman? You collossal dick.

The woman just said she prefers story in videogames and can't handle the gameplay. Is that such an offense coming from a writer? Why don't you stop acting like 12-year-old (I'm probably doing you too much credit) and step down from this horrid behavior.

I might agree with you, other than her suggestion that devs make a way to skip all dialog. Dialog is story.

And obviously, as a writer, she totally has the final say when it comes to gameplay /sarcasm.

Frankly, I've seen worse writers being hired for BioWare, and I guess they were so called "gamers". Some people play for the story and not for the combat, I don't see why that's a big deal. Deus Ex: HR also had a "story mode" (Tell Me a Story).

And honestly, nobody deserves to be harrassed in their own home for holding an opinion (like the idiots who kept calling her at home).

Additionally, in DAO she wrote the Dwarf Commoner Origin, the Anvil of the Void quest line and pretty much all of the NPCs in Orzammar, but yes let's blame her for DA2.

She's certainly to blame for turning Anders from a womanizing care free guy who wanted to be free into some sexually confused "WHAT ABOUT THE MAGES?!?!" brooding assclown.

Wow yes, she definitely deserves all the hate of the interwebs for that. So what? It's her job. She wrote something and it was approved by GAIDER. Seriously, bullying someone for doing what they're paid to do now?
I hate the development they decided to take with TIM and Cerberus but you don't see me spamming Walters & Hudson with hate on twitter. As a matter of fact, I don't see you doing it either, so why is it different with Hepler?

Who said anything about bullying? And it's obvious the Bioware management who hired such an unqualified writer who hates video games are the real villains.

I don't think anyone here has spammed her twitter. It's just some guy came in on his horse shouting: "Look at yourselves! You aren't men you're beasts!" for finding all the trolling amusing. It's still pretty annoying he did that, no one asked him how he felt. There wouldn't have been any drama if he judged silently.

That RPG codex link you posted a few pages back contains a lot of twitter feed, and some of those twitter posts can be considered as bullying. And go and complaing to BioWare management then.

And fyi, I'm neither a paragon nor a butthurt fanboy or whatever. I just don't like bullying.

Then take it up with those "bullies". We're just watching the show.

I've done my best to keep this thread as active it has been for all these months blood sister. :wizard:

By yourself, you did a rather terrible job. Were it not for my own masochism, you would have had nearly nothing to talk about.

Won't someone think of the message we're sending to children? Won't someone think of the children!!?

The fact that you enjoy causing pain is enough, really.
