^This awesome picture breaks my heart. Why must I fall for the absolutely DOOMED character just before he's being DESTROYED. This is so very tragic and sad.

This happened to me so many times. For example, in Harry Potter series, I really liked Sirius, that character Harry saves in book three from certain execution, and then he DIES in book five, that was horrible, I was positively bawling. Speaking of that series, it, too, betrayed its own premise: in the beginning, it was "love conquers everything," and then it changed to "death conquers everything," that was not a pleasant switch.

Why spend so much writing time on fleshing out his character only to doom him, that's so very wasteful. Get me attached to him, then go ahead and kill him, good job. TIM stars in so many comics and novels, makes no sense to end it all in death. I want to save him. :crying:

If they can keep him alive, and then make him a prominent character in the next series, and promise us that we can properly ally with him this time, then I'd surely follow into the new series. And if not, then I won't. It won't be the same without TIM. It will be boring.

I think other people will follow too, since they'd really want to finally kill him. All that emotional attachment that "worked so well" like people praised it for ME3, it works both ways. If Paragons are furious and frustrated, isn't it a very good thing? Since emotional attachment worked.

Well, I didn't mean to burst into tears at the sight of the picture. :P I really like it. I just wish we could work with TIM again, like in ME2. I wish we could do it, in the new series - not as Shepard, of course, but Shepard's story is already too limited.

And humanity without TIM is screwed. If not for him, we wouldn't even have biotics. I don't want to see what happens to humanity if TIM dies.

Everybody's insulting his principles, and that's easy to do, since he has those. You can't attack other characters' principles in the game, because they don't have any. Oh, they have personal motivations, but that's about it. TIM's the only one with a clear vision, and a dedication to his cause.

I don't know how they can ever replace him. A character with clear goals and strong driving purpose is really hard to come by.

JK Rowling certainly has some screwy ideas about death... I suspect it has to do with her own mother dying and Calvinist-influenced religious beliefs.

I really feel bad for TIM, his organization is being molded like play-doh and he's forced to fight against the woman he revived that almost bankrupted it.

Why is your Shepard even attracted to TIM?

TIM has looks, charm, charisma, wealth and power. What's not to like? He has everything to make a woman happy.

The moment my Shep gazed into his eyes, saw his chest hair and heard his sexy she knew from that moment on that he was going to be her future husband and the father of her children.

True story.

Out of curiosity, are you in fact a woman?
I also don't think Shepard has any surviving eggs, unless they went to the trouble of cloning a new batch during the Lazarus Project.

Out of curiosity, are you in fact Ardat-Yakshi? I keep wondering that. I need to know it before we speak about...what's good for the galaxy as a whole. You can tells us, we won't tell anyone!

I ask only because it bugs the hell out of me when men say things like "everything to make a woman happy."

The only reason I asked is because you tried to break someone else's roleplaying.

I tried to break someone else's stupid phrase, not roleplaying. Probably I shouldn't have quoted the whole post.

I would like a boss battle with the guy. Maybe he can get into a cyborg suit or something. Also at the end it would nice if you could get the option to kill him or let him live so he can support Shepard in the war.

if there would be a boss fight with him,i expect that it would be similar to sarens at the end of ME1.a reaper enhanced TIM who is taken over by harbinger.

Then, folks will say that it is too much like Saren with Sovereign - although they can't just "do nothing" after emphasizing his eyes in ME2. Whatever they came up with, I just hope he's a formidible foe!

Whatever they do I hope they don't go simple.  A posssession robs the character of its complexity.  It also plays down the really interesting paths that his beliefs could contribute to the story.  While he and Shep may be of similar minds on some items the fact is that TIM is a humn SUPREMACIST.  We can look at a history and get an idea of how wrong that slant can go.

That was foremost in my mind when deciding whether or not to destroy the base or not.  I didn't think any good would come out of ANYONE having the Tech to melt people down to sludge and make them a collective or whatever.  As a human supremacist organization, I simply didn't trust Cerberus and TIM to be responsible.  They would use it to subjugate others and lord over other species just for the sake of dominance which is the aim of any organization with Supremacist in their name.

I was rather surprised to encounter that level of complexity in a video game.  It was like revisiting one of WONDER WOMAN's stories from when Greg Rucka was writing it.

That is a very good thing.

Nope and if Shepard isn't able to bare children then TIM needs to get a refund.

TIM isn't getting any younger and if a woman isn't able to bare him children then she needs to quit wasting his time.

TIM clearly knows how to make women happy otherwise he wouldn't be ending up with so many of 'em.

You know, up until now, I'd respected TIM as a worthy opponent. I didn't actually hate him until this very point. If TIM is that ****ing egotistical, he can go donate to a sperm bank or something.

TIM is just being a man and part of being a man is spreading one's seed.

Besides, Miranda was prolly just looking for a sugar daddy. When TIM wasn't giving enough dough she quit Cerberus and went with a sucker who would(Sheploo).

Hm. I rather suspect, at this point, that I'm simply being trolled. You overdid it with the last Miranda line.

TIM knows how to please any woman happy in the same way that all fictional persons are bisexual unless explicitly stated otherwise.

That doesn't even make grammatical sense, much less any other kind.

Miranda said she left all her possesions behind when she "escaped" from her father and sought "protection" with Cerberus.  Which obviously involves $$$$$.

I suspect that this sort of thing is inevitable for one so deranged that they'd believe TIM capable of love.
