Well, it was either that or say we'd all die.

I actually liked that answer most, but sadly enough it's restricted to the Liara romance.

Well, she asked me what I want; I wasn't going to squelch her mood, not when my own is as good as it's been in two years. Maybe we'll die, but if I'm doomed, I'll die no matter whether I'm hopeful or not; I may as well die hopeful, even if I'm still worried.

I'd say that trait is more Charlie than Martin. :P

Adonis DNA, baby; it's in their blood.

On a rather unrelated note, what do you guys tell Liara at the end of Shadow Broker, when she asks you "So what do you want, what are you fighting for?" ?

Canon Femshep: "it's not what i'm fighting for it's what I'm fighting against"

Pseudo-canon Femshep: "For Jacob" :P

Sheploo A:  "to find Tali a home (with my Cerberus connections)"

Sheploo B: "For Miranda"

Yo dude, that was nuts!!!

I finished up a LotSB run with my Troll Shep (Liaramancer) and then Liara asked me afterwards "what about us?"
>> (Renegade) "We're probably all going to die"
Liara: "Then what's the point of all this?"
>> (Neutral) "I don't know"

And you know what she did? She walked out on me! She was like "Well, I should get back to work" or something. So my femshep just walked back to the couch and sulked, just looking at the two glasses on the table still full with wine. Liara starts walking out, stops, looks back at me, and walks out!

Legit, I was just going like "WOWWWWWWW!!!" when I saw that whole scene. I mean, I had it coming, but that was stone-cold. I can't believe they put that in there, not many people must have seen that.

I wish there was TIMmancer dialogue in LOTSB

Liara: "What are you fighting for? Stargazing and smoking with the Illusive man?

Femshep: "Absolutely, he's a great man who brought me back from the grave and stood by me every step of the way when others didn't."

Liara: " I hope the two of you find happiness as you fight for human survival and dominance in the galaxy".

I want this.

I also wish it'd be possible to tell her that you're fighting for humanity. And then elaborate on your plans for human dominance.

I can just see my Shepard going into a rant about it, a la the krogan who "talks too much", about how humanity is going to survive and prosper and discover the deepest secrets of the universe and explore the places unknown and forge our own path among the stars. And the empowered and united krogan will stand by our side, and so will the quarians, and the vorcha, and salarians, and we will all benefit from our union, and together, we'll be the power unstoppable. All the species of the galaxy can either fight at humanity's side or get crushed under our heel! But they will NOT stand in our way! And if the asari don't surrender their power to those who can make better use of it and save us all, then all asari must be eliminated!

And then Shepard turns and sees the expression on Liara's face.

Shepard: Oops. Got carried away here.
Liara: I should go!

 It's way better than "we're all gonna die" or "I don't know". At least Shepard's got the fighting spirit. Bet Liara would regret asking Shepard that question "off the record" very much. Ask no questions, and you'll hear no true answers, and then you wouldn't lose sleep at night, because sometimes it's really better not to know...

I also wish it would be possible to tell her that you're fighting for Mordin. <3

My canon Shep said "fighting for everyone," but that was just a roundabout way for saying that I was fighting for Jack.

Messy, awkward, sometimes selfish and cruel, but trying/want to make sure they(she) get(s) a chance. <3 <3

Well, I think it's safe to say that fighting people like you is... third on my priority list. First is Reapers, and second is fighting the people like TIM, who are really good at manipulating the people like you.

I live for TIM and I die for TIM. The difference is trivial.

Problem?

While you're at that, you might want to get a new banner that's spelled correctly.

Don't worry about Xili; she'll "live on" through the asari's genetic memory.

They actually don't, but Xili's backup plan involved the entire galaxy "living on" like that through the asari.

Also, to get back on the Shadow Broker lines: I like both the "I'm fighting for us, all of us" and "It's not what I'm for, it's what I'm fighting against" lines, it's just that the parts after that are horrible in both cases. And the Miranda option there doesn't really do the character justice...

It's only the best of the worst possible scenarios, if no harmony could ever be achieved.

"Living on" through the Asari.... *shudders*

The Jacobmancer line in LOTSB wasn't bad from what I can remember. Femshep says "He's a good man..." (forgot what else she said).

I can't remember anything about what the Mirandamancer line was from Sheploo.

Nah, there's still curing the genophage and/or uplifting the yagh.

I'd enjoy having a yahg squadmate. They'd be extremely loyal so long as I could prove my dominance, which shouldn't be that hard, and learning more about how their culture works would be interesting. I mean, krogan have redeeming factors, and I don't see why yahg wouldn't.

Ever the optimist, I see.

Well, Sheploo isn't wrong about that. Miranda does have issues with inconsistent characterization.

She better hope she doesn't cross paths with my Cerberus loyalist Shepard in ME3....

Having a yahg squadmate after dominating him into a submission...Like this?

Keeping aliens as pets. Ah, Joker. Not even TIM dreamt up such an idea.

This pic really belongs on this thread, since it fits the whole idea of human dominance.
