I don't know why you people trust TIM. Can you guys give me the gist of the reason why you guys trust him?
TIM brought my Shepard back to life and provided her the means of taking down the Collectors and the Reapers. That he happens to share her worldview doesn't hurt either.
That's true but the fact is that something is off about him and I can't say that I didn't appreciate the fact that he manipulated Shepard instead of telling Shepard his plans on how to lure the Collectors to Horizon and not sending Shepard into the supposedly diabled Collector cruiser which was a trap.
TIM's masterful planning lead to victory against the Collectors. My Shepard isn't caught up on an ego trip and understands and appreciates what TIM did.

In what capacity do you think I trust him?
Do I trust him to never put me in harms way without my knowledge? No.
Do I trust him not to betray me to an enemy if he feels doing so will benefit his goals? No.
Do I trust him to always tell me the truth? No.
Do I trust him to always do what he can to achieve his goals (which so far are the same as mine)? Yes.
Yeah, it's not about trusting TIM to be our BFF who will invite us over to his house for a barbeque, it's about trusting him to do everything in his power to advance humanity's interests and security.

That's a tall order from someone who's organization has been involved in terrorist activities and brutal experiments that could make Josef Mengele green w/ envy.

As does mine. This doesn't make TIM indispensable to the galaxy.TIM's masterful planning lead to victory against the Collectors. My Shepard isn't caught up on an ego trip and understands and appreciates what TIM did.

We really do need a Bayo/ME crossover game.

Are you kidding me? Bayonetta's plot makes too damn much sense to cross it over with such an unserious series as Mass Effect.Seboist wrote...

Sure, a Google search or some taste would provide that much information, but not the essence of the reference itself.Ravensword wrote...

That's what I'm talking. I've heard the song but obviously not the reference. Regardless, I don't regard TIM as being much of a charmer. I just didn't feel it in his personality. The files the Shadow Broker has on him make him out to be a playboy, though. Maybe it's his eyes.

False statement, not based on fact, you're a victim to Council propaganda, open your ears and listen when Vasir speaks how she's going to blame all her explosions on Cerberus when she's taking a hostage, and maybe then you'll understand where they got their reputation.

TIM's trying to pack several millions of years of evolution into a few months, what do you expect, sunshine and butterflies? The entire history of humanity is the history of suffering, and now TIM accelerates it greatly to make sure we're ready when the Reapers arrive. There is a price for survival.
*half-heartedly* Join us, we are humanity. Share with us our suffering when ME3 comes. Did I manage to sound enticing?

Is that a fact? I don't recall her ever saying that to Shepard. She simply states that Shepatd doesn't have the right to judge her while he's working w/ Cerberus.

Fair enough, although millions of years in a few months? Is that an accurate number or one you just pulled out of thin air. Regardless, it doesn't mke the sufferring that Cerberus has caused and whether or not it actually makes a difference in the fight against the Reapers Cerberus should still pay, but that'll probably all be academic anyway. The way that things are going it looks like TIM may be the final boss of ME3.

And that price is TIM's, and Cerberus', life.TIM's trying to pack several millions of years of evolution into a few months, what do you expect, sunshine and butterflies? If I thought TIM possessed actual morals, maybe I'd be willing to consider that. As it stands, I'm going to ignore any supposed "gentleman" cred from someone who's done everything that he has.Dead lord, Xilizhra, mind your language! TIM is too much of gentleman for that sort of thing.

It would be more accurate to say that we would've never naturally evolved to become biotics. We have to rely on human-controlled evolution. This is because of our homeworld. It's not soaked in eezo, so we have to use implants, and that's after we're altered. TIM was doing what he could, trying everything, instead of just sitting around, waiting for the Reapers to arrive. He couldn't know what would work.
It's not TIM's fault if Fate turns out to be stronger than him and he gets turned into a final boss. I'll cheer for him, maybe he'll survive this series to live on in the next! A lot of writing time has been invested into him, it would be a waste to throw it all away...

Saren got a fair amount too. Don't try to stretch TIM's career out for longer than it can really be narratively handled. It's not TIM's fault if Fate turns out to be stronger than him and he gets turned into a final boss. Paragon Shepard: Spectres don't blow up buildings filled with innocent people!
Tela Vasir: Sure we do! We get our hands dirty so the council doesn't have to. The councilors might complain about our methods to soothe their consciences but they never look too closely.
Yet, we have players acting all high and mighty and labeling Cerberus "terrorist" despite having no issue with being part of the Spectres.

Why do you have to be right? I can see how blaming it on Cerberus is an appealing thing to do. Can't say I wouldn't do the same thing If I wasn't in her shoes.

Even though TIM may have given humans biotics the means by which he achieved these things are horrible. Regardless of how this might have helped humanity and the fact that he gave Shepard a second chance and brough him back from the dead, this will be his undoing because now Shepard is gonna put one in the back of his head. That's just the way things are.

Please, his charm is more than enough. And if his usual tactic doesn't work (it always does, though), he'd simply try something else. He is nothing if not resilient.Xilizhra wrote...

He's a playboy. He's Hugh Hefner and Josef Mengel combined into one person.

Your quoting is extremely selective. The very next line has her saying how much worse Cerberus is. So you're relying on her being completely right and not just spitefully justifying herself while dying when it comes to Spectres, but assume that she's completely wrong about Cerberus. Your quotemining is invalid.Seboist wrote...

It's not invalid. It shows what a naive deluded moron Paragon Shepard is and how Paragons don't have the moral high ground that they think they do. That Cerberus is "worse" is besides the point.
