TIM and Shepard.

Love that game, has a spectacular soundtrack (probably because it consists of real songs rather than just "video game music").  Its unfortunate that there aren't many like it.

One thing that's pretty odd is how the devs shove Miranda's ass all over the screen but Sheploo can't comment on it.

Ha well Shepard can make a comment about admiring her body, but Meer does it in that deplorable tone he often uses for paragon dialogue options so I stay far away from it.  Plus the antagonistic romance is much more appealing.  Too bad Bioware wants the one love interest who is both pro-human and ruthless to become yet another softie (unless the CB is merely an isolated incident).  Zaeed, TIM, or perhaps even Wrex ;) really oughta become LIs so that renegade Shepard won't have to worry about not seeing eye-to-eye with his/her lover.

The sacrifices we'd make.

I'm sure TIM would not require such drastic things of his followers. He values his people.

I'm not so sure. He wants to kill Shep (I know Shepard isn't a follower, but s/he was a valuable asset) and the Invasion preview with this should kinda give an indication whether he'd be the type to sacrifice them. (apologies if you were being sarcastic)

Let's just say that drinking beer is not necessary for talking with TIM. No need to risk his people unless it's necessary.

The tone he has in the Talimance coupled with the facial expressions makes me suspect that Sheploo will go all "Patrick Bateman" on her.

I still remember "Captain's orders."

Although there is at least an alternative to that.

I sure hope so!

And have Christian Bale voice Shepard too.

That's because that ass is always facing the player, and not Shepard. Shepard can't see it, thus can't comment on it. The player, on the other hand, wishes to be able to comment.

But really, I agree with you wholeheartedly, and I wish there were more flirting included into romances, and compliments on LI's looks are a must.

Maybe the characters are too tactful to say what's really on their minds...But from the tone of Femshep's voice when she's speaking to Jacob, I should think the restraint is out the airlock by now. He can barely hold her back.

'Nother one for the official unofficial TIM-thread playlist, guys.
This one's more relevant to Cerberus as a whole, I suppose, but yanno.

Lae, I was planning to post that one later today, maybe tomorrow...

*goes sulking in a corner*

In any case, I just finished BioShock 2, and it's amazing that a 'mere' shooter is able to more accurately gauge my intentions based on just four-ish past choices than a game built around choice. The ending was rather emotional as well, moreso than a certain other series.

So, time to get started with Human Revolution. Anything I should know before beginning?

Edit: Ah, nice song, Ash, it certainly fits Cerberus. Also, I've been meaning to ask you where you got your avatar from, as I quite like it.

I'd recommend getting the wall-smash, hacking, strength, and inventory upgrades early on if you want to be a completionist (though walls can be broken by explosives as well).  Also the electicity, gas, and flash grenade immunities are crap for most everything but the bosses.  And uh....stealth is much preferable to combat, the AI may be rather simple but Jensen will die in a couple seconds if enemies have a clear shot at him (of course just by playing you'll figure that out quickly).

Oh and you can disarm mines, you just have to move towards them really slowly (I just assumed they had to be shot from afar my first time through)>

Why thank you, good sir. I thought so, too.

Dawww, I'm flattered you like my avatar- I drew it, as a matter of fact. ^^ It's a scaled-down version of this thingamajig over here.*
On an unrelated note- one of these days, I've got to pick up Human Revolution. Everyone I know is trying to convince me to play it (particularly since I pracically forced a lot of them to play the first Deus Ex), but alas, my credits must go toward other things at the moment. Such as food.
Woe is me.

Lae- that is probably one of the coolest photomanips of the Illusive Man I've seen thus far.
So shiny. :U

Fitting song, Ash. Ah hah, I found that fanart on your deviantart page, incredible...never noticed that before, but TIM's got Paragon eyes. Nice contrast with Femshep's Renegade infernal flare. Amazing to finally see them together in the flesh. That art completely distracts me from the thoughts of political causes...

Stargazing TIM - just stumbled on it looking for pics, and remembered how we were talking about stars and eyes.

I swear we need some stargazing in ME3...preferably with TIM.

Nooooooooo don't look at it his head is gigantic it's so horrible it's so horriblaaaaaaaagh
*flees into the distance*

(I'm mostly kidding. Mostly.)

Anyway, I was reading through the descriptions for some of the DLC packs- mostly the ones I didn't get that were available for pre-order. TIM's commentary on the Terminus armor elicited a laugh.

Shepard,

Our armor technicians found a high-performance suit for you that was manufactured in the Terminus Systems -- that is to say, it isn't exactly legal in Citadel space. It's been delivered to your quarters so you can try it on.

Hope you like the color.

Maybe it's just because I usually play Shep as female, but that last line made me choke on my tea. XD
Other men buy you dresses. The Illusive Man buys you assault armor. Go figure.

It's TIM, he's amazing. It's TIM with Femshep! It's my dream incarnate. And his eyes are flashing like the stars, whee. And that lighter rocks. I could gaze on it forever.

I admire the visual artists, especially people who can draw. It's a skill I don't see myself even trying in this life. If I could draw, I'd be drawing TIM with Femshep kissing...

About armor - yes, I laughed. When you join TIM, he practically showers you with gifts - it's like a honeymoon. Everything you ever need to fight the Reapers. My Shepard was in heaven.

Your ship is resurrected - just like you are. And it's better, improved, and more deadly than before - just like you are. Not having to scavenge for weapons anymore. State-of-the-art technology. The bleeding-edge armor fresh from the labs. Most recent intel about the best ass-kicking heroes across the galaxy. Your own captain quarters to make sure you're rested enough for the fight... And you get paid for saving the galaxy. And you're surrounded by hand-picked people who admire you and who believe in you. TIM sure provides you with a strong backup.

Is it any wonder Shepard prevails at the end? What an alliance we had. Never happened to my Shepard before, never going to happen in the future. That was fun while it lasted.

Oh, what's happened to my benefactor?

Not really, no. He brought me back for a task and he wants me to succeed in that task. Giving me the tools I need to complete it is logical.

Except that makes no sense with TIM's character, he doesn't eliminate somebody unless they pose a threat to Cerberus or humanity. He keeps himself on good terms with everybody. doesn't risk burning bridges unless it's absolutely necessary or he gains something from it.

Eliminating Shepard doesn't serve any of TIM's goals and makes no sense with what we've been shown so far, regardless of Shepard being pro-Cerberus or anti-Cerberus. He didn't send anybody to eliminate Anderson despite him essentially wiping out half of Cerberus and even muses working with Shepard during Retribution (which fits with the destruction or non-destruction of the Base).

Hmm, me neither.

What a curious trend.
