I will save the galaxy. They will either get out of my way or face the same fate they did in ME1.

Saren thought he was saving the galaxy too and look how things turned out for him.

The Illusive Man has the right idea, you don't.

THREE DOG??? How dare you compare me to that mongrel. That... that... evangelist!  That slandering propagandist!

I'd rather the intermediary be TIM than the Council (he at least gets off his ass and does something, instead of metaphorically ****blocking you at every turn).

Indeed it was a pleasure to finally work for somebody who supported your cause every step of the way.

Yes, by working with the Reapers and trying to kill/capture Shepard--oh, wait.

Rather hard to do when they're the Reapers' attack dogs, yes?

They serve humanity, not the Reapers. If compliance with the Reaper cause is the best way to save us, then so be it.

Look into my signature for an explanation of that.

TIM understands that salvation comes at a price. If that price is our form, then so be it.

Depending on the circumstances, I'd say it's both.
At least in the case of a Paragon ending, you've (and by 'you' I of course mean Shepard) just ripped technology that could save lives right out of their hands. For no other reason than you had a moral beef with its origins.
And Cerberus, well.... let's be fair, here, they do have a bit of a problem with Chronic Backstabbing Disorder. I lay that fault more at the feet of the writers than the organization itself, though.
I ASKED FOR MORAL AMBIGUITY, PEOPLE.
MORAL AMBIGUITY.
NOT BOND VILLAINY.

Whoa whoa whoa, it's not my fault you were talking about 'fighting the good fight'! :U

(For the record, I loathe Three Dog. Loathe. Doesn't keep his catchphrase from being stuck in my head.)

See, you TIM haters are so fanatical that you have to INVENT reasons to hate him. The sheer gaul and arrogance of it has me stunned.

Huh... I wonder what'll happen in ME3. Seems we're fighting Cerberus in a lot of the trailers, so...

A.) TIM has been indoctrinated or been convinced that Shepard must be stopped, despite bringing him back to life.

B.) TIM's position as head of Cerberus has been usurped somehow.

I'm betting A... Indoctrinated. He's got reaper cybernetics for eyes, as Reaper influence grows in the galaxy they start indoctrinating him leading to him being a villain in ME3.

EDIT: You know the Devs have confirmed that Cerberus has a kill order out on Shepard in ME3.

TIM saved humanity from the Collectors. He's right up there with Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II as far as I'm concerned.

If humanity's life is the price paid for the galaxy to survive, then it will be paid. Cut off a limb to save the body.

First off, a galaxy without humans is not a galaxy worth saving,

Yes, well, the opinions of Seboist alone are not high on my Shepard's list of consideration priorities.

Second of all Mac Walters says that TIM is under his own free will.

I don't doubt it.

You should bow your head in shame for having the nerve to suggest humanity should be sacrificed.

The whole point of Shepard becoming a spectre in the first place is to advance human interests. You've betrayed humanity, shame on you son.

The only way to do that would be Reaper victory, and that doesn't count. If we deny the Reapers a new subject race, they'll be down one invasion's worth of resources and the next cycle may do better.

Personally, I find option B more intriguing. While canon has made it pretty clear that TIM does have a connection with the Reapers... well, so does Shepard, in a sense*. I could just be in denial, but it seems like an enormous wallbanger for the Illusive Man, whose entire m.o. up to this point has run counter to that of the Reapers, to suddenly switch sides and go 'SCREW IT I'M JUST GONNA DUMP ELEVEN BILLION CREDITS AND ALL OF THAT WORK DOWN THE DRAIN'.

To my mind, an internal power struggle makes much more sense.

...Plus it sets up a perfect Enemy Mine situation, wherein you have the chance to either help TIM retake his organization (and gain an ally in the process), or eliminate both in one fell swoop (and get rid of two potential threats).

It's been heavily hinted that Shepard is full of Reaper tech from Lazarus and that something big is going to happen in ME3 because of it.

I don't see why. TIM spent all of ME2 thinking that the Reapers just wanted to kill humanity; now he realizes that the Reapers want to make humanity into one of them. A living god.

Dammit, I was going to put that under the liitle asterisks in my post.
knew I was forgetting something.

Also, eh, like I said: 's'just my opinion.
I wouldn't want to be paste. With my luck, I'd wind up having to share runtimes with all the unbelievably obnoxious people. The ones who poke you when you're trying to concentrate. And think juvenile humor is the highest form of wit.

May do better? That's all you have? Hope?

I'm afraid you're letting idealism blind you. You see, that's what I like about TIM. He never lets that happen.

You can't stop the Reapers. Not now, not ever. However at least by joining them some species will survive the long cycle.

The galaxy IS humanity! So there, you see? We're on the same side now.
