Didn't Liara already give Shepard her dog tags in LOTSB?
Those were the tags Shepard had when (s)he died. They're not valid anymore.

Most likely this, yes. Kind of like the original N7 armor/helmet.Someone With Mass wrote...

Shepard is back in the Alliance? I hope we can choose not to.
I was hoping the same. I wish we could be done with factions altogether.

My Shepard is an Alliance soldier. It is in his blood.
It seems that ME3 brings everything back the way it should be. Shep in the Alliance. Ash back on my squad. Heavier RP elements. Weapons customization and general customization are back. If the story will be as good as the one from ME1 than this could turn into the second best Mass Effect game ever. Mass Effect 1 is obviously my number one.

I for one am very happy to be in the Alliance again.

Getting reinstated makes sense with Anderson using what power he has to make things easier on Shepard moving forward.
Hopefully however we will be able to roleplay Shepard as not truely considering himself part of the Alliance any longer. My Shep's moved past that part of his life.

I just hope I can stick it to them the same way I stuck it to Cerberus.

True.
So has mine. Sick of being used and mistreated just...sick of it.

I agree. Still, it has been confirmed we're able to roleplay against the Alliance again, so perhaps we'll get a chance to show them what we think of 'em.Ryzaki wrote...

I wouldn't mind a "I told you so!" option in the end but without the quitting part.
My Shepard is very happy to be back in the Alliance and kicking Cerberus's and Reapers asses and he wants to stay in the Alliance until he either retires or dies again or can convince Ashley to leave it together to start a family together.

They were the only ones fighting the Reapers at that time. Shepard is obsessed with defeating them. There is no "option" for this. Shepard will fight with whoever agrees, Allience, Cerberus. the Turian Heirechy, Aria (and Omega), etc. This is a galactic battle. There is no good or bad if you will get exticnt being "honorable".tomas2377 wrote...
I am relieved to hear that Shep is back in the Alliance. I hated ME2 because we were forced to work for Cerberus/terrorists and because Ash wasn't part of the story and wasn't a squadmate.

Good guys in quotation marks. They're good guys in the sense that the galaxy does not regard them as terrorists, but the Jedi Order, they certainly are not. I'm just tired of being associated with factions in general.
KotOR: Jedi Order
Dragon Age: Grey Wardens
Mass Effect: Council/Alliance
Mass Effect 2: Cerberus
With ME3, I'm also now in that position where alot of players were in ME2. Some did not want to join Cerberus. I did not want to join the Alliance.

If only they showed Shep some.
How high are the chances that we get a "screw you guys I'm outta here." ending? I really hope there's one. Maybe one where Shep can have a marvelous take that speech to the council, cerberus and the alliance where he turns around and walks away with his crew following him . And steals the Normandy.
That would be an epic ending.

For crying out loud it should be up to shepard on whether or not to re join the alliance or not, I don't like the fact shepard is being forced to join the alliace, It should be up to the player not already decided. I also would like to say I'd like the option to get rid of Kaiden like I did with Ashley in ME1.
It's just a nice moment between Anderson and Shepard, damn. Despite everything you did in ME2 and who you worked with, Anderson still sees Shepard as a friend.

I think they'll cover this.
The "I'm getting a lot of bull**** on my end" bit was epic, so I think they'll definitely let players have their say.
And yes to stealing the Normandy, so very much yes.

The player decides.
I am partial to a roving band of do-gooders like the A team.
"Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... the S-Team"

The only bad thing about this ending is I probably wouldn't take any other.

I will grin so hard if we get one of those "communications cut Commander." with the alliance instead of the council.
