Now that Shepard is reinstated in the Alliance I hope they paint the impounded Normandy Blue. It is my favorite color:D. BTW do players now get suppressors for weapons as a customization?

They did paint it blue. They also slapped Alliance decals all over it. <_<

Ugh you had to remind me.

That's the first thing my Shepard is scrubbing off once he steals it back.

arkham asylum did stealth rather well

With the exception of perhaps Metal Gear and Splinter Cell that is pretty much the only game I've seen that successfully mixed action and stealth gameplay smoothly. Thief is also meant to be good, but I've never played it myself. May get the new one when it eventually gets released. While I don't think ME3 needs a big focus on stealth, it'd still be a nice feature - particularly for infiltrators.

Dunno if you've already seen it, but Deus Ex: Human Revolution which is bound to come out in August, does it also VERY well. (TY Leaked Journalist Demo)

I read the Newsarama article before I saw your post, and my expectations went up a little....

Thanks for the link. Most of that was familiar if not discussed before. The only main thing that I didn't hear about was the scene with Anderson throwing Shepard's tags to him/her respectively.

There is something in the article that interest me more :

In the end of article, there is an intervew vid, play it and pause around 03:08 and play it again

Now around 03:10, there will be a cinematic showing a planet (Earth ? I hope not) being sucked into a black hole, wonder what this means ? One of the ME3 ending ??? :pouty:

EDIT : Also, at the same time, look closely at the right corner of the vid, you can see a ship flying away from the planet, and it very similiar to our beloved Normandy

Just re-bump my own post

Nope, that's from the Star Trek movie when that planet implodes.

Hopefully I can tank the trial and not get re-instated so I can spend the whole game muttering to myself... "One man. Alone. Betrayed by the country he loves..."

..."meant to be good????!!!!!!" WTF! Your kidding right? It's THE BEST stealth game EVER created!!! No hyperbole! If you had played it, you would know.

Also, you're forgetting Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines, a game that truly was an action/RPG hybrid in the true sense of the term.

Yes it is. Only it doesn't have any fast-paced action in it, except for dashing  from one hiding place to the next before the guards notice you. The level of tension is unparalleled in any other game except perhaps for Amnesia:The Dark Descent or System Shock, but the twitchy-fingers faction of players won't get any fun from it.

As an old Thief veteran, I don't expect much from ME3's stealth elements. I don't think the enemy AI is up to it. But I appreciate very much that they're present in the first place and I'm sure they will enrich the game.

Yep! It requires you to be fearless, because it doesnt hold your hand. It requires wits, to create strategies and to survive using very limited resources. And, of course, just a small share of our current gaming population has those qualities.

However, gaming philistines have naught to fear with the upcoming Thief reboot. "Thi4f of Duty: Garrett's Creed" will certainly be much more suited to their palate.

In Retribution it answers this question. Though I wish he would stay.... but it's a lazy way to make writing easier.
