Does this improve the look of some faces? or is there anything to improve the look of some of the NPCs faces? i've just started to notice them on this 2nd playthrough it it's rather irritating to see such a nice looking world then see this ugly face with a black spot on the forehead. :/ Then look at my DA:O/A games NPCs and realize they looked nothing like that.
Playing with my settings on high ATI5750 windows 7 x64 8 gigs of ram and a Core i3 540 @3.01GHz if anyone could help me get the faces looking not ugly i'd appreciate it.
Also can anyone tell me if any of the patches improved or fixed the initial problem with tactics not working properly?

No. The high-res texture pack does not affect faces. As it says on the download page, the most noticeable effect is with the level art. IMHO though the faces in DAII are just as good as those in DA: O. Not much better, but just as good.
As for tactics, it's not in the list of fixes as far as I can tell. But I would recommend downloading the latest patch anyways. There's a lot of fixes in the patches all-around, in gameplay, quests, and overall performance

I suspect he's talking about these:
They have a black spot in the center of their forehead, are certainly worse than any faces I saw in DA:O, and aren't improved by the high rez texture packages.

Can you post a screenshot of that issue? Also, are you running DX9 or DX11?

i have steam so the latest patch is a none issue (i already have it v 1.3) Thank you though.

I have the latest patch, but do I have to also download this high def texture pack? I read somewhere that latest patch included this, but this is probably wrong but still I can't remember. Can someone help?

High text pack is over 1 gb of dl.
1.03 is 23 mb of dl.
odds are in the favor it is not included.....but that is just me ;D
