Is it just me or did anyone else notice they were talking about heading south until flemmeth showed up and told them not to? Didn't Carver Come from the south from Ostagar? Or Aveline didn't she know the horde was in the south? If she wasn't at Ostagar how does she know loghain betrayed king cailan that he cut tail and ran? or didn't anyone else notice the Horde Came from the south From Ostagar?
My point here is why are they heading South in the Beginning there is no reason to infact there is a very good reason not to head Southward. I could see and understand if they were attempting to hide form the Dark Spawn in the Wilds but I recall nothing of that being mentioned >.<.
Please tell me i'm missing a line of dialogue some where.
this is somethign i've noticed on my second playthrough after doing DA:O/A Immediately before playing DA2 this time (first DA2 playthrough was default human noble).
I think the escape started in Lothering, then went South to Ostagar - or possibly the Hawke family met up somewhere in between, if not at Lothering itself. Carver's comment about "running since Ostagar" may be more methaphoric, since he was there at the battle when the hordes came.
In the
Prologue, Aveline tells Hawke that the North is cut off. Hawke then insists that they go through the Wilds, since the darkspawn have them cut off. I would imagine the plan being to cut through the Wilds and then east toward Gwaren to get passage to Kirkwall (judging by the
map).
