I don't like male Shepard much, so I always play as female Shepard. The
problem is, Tali is probably my favorite character, so it leaves me
kind of... Stuck.

Following DA2 yes you will be able to, will it make sense? No, because apparently being gay is a conscious choice now... Not something you just are...

I had a feeling. I'm hoping a Bioware rep will answer, that will settle it.

Hopefully they don't make the whole crew bi. All in favour of a gay option but the whole squad turning bi is just stupid.

Problem is that if they don't, somebody will whine about it; so they cave in and make everyone bi. Essentially telling everyone that the religions are right, that being gay or bi is a choice. Thus nullifying every equal right and acceptance norms, homosexual and bisexual movement groups have fought for the last 20-30 years.

See some irony here?

But then again, ME is already clad in creationist theories so why not...

pre established characters turning their sexuality for the whims of fans.... Makes sense.. Now why didn't Buffy and Faith ever hook up? Because I begged for it (not really)...
You know because pleasing the fans is more important then continuity.

Honestly i don't want any old charachter to become bi.  I can't even take any romance in Dragon Age 2 seriously.
I rather see them focusing on romance scenes but this time "without" having clothes on. Considering they have balls to turn Dragon Age 2 into sausage fest.

Oh boy, I hope not. I think not everyone should be bi/******, some should be but ,at the same time, some should be straight.

Plus Tali has never shown any sign of liking FemShep in ME2 but with MaleShep she reacts differently.

Did you all see how awkward DA2 was when everyone was bi?

...around, and around, and around...

Such tiresomely pre-emptive anguish over something so incredibly minor is delicious, it really is. Om nom nom.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about the idea of them retconning your crew's sexuality. Bioware romances were bad enough with how your crew mates just kind of fell for you no matter what you did, now they'll suddenly be attracted no matter what gender you are. Shepard is such a hilariously Mary Sue protagonist. Might as well drop the military rank stuff and call me the chosen one or something.

With only 5-7 crew members this time (the crew will be smaller than in ME2), I can't see much choice here. If they make only some crew members bi, I think they can do this to max 2-3 characters.

It'd be good if BW would confirm how this will work. Is every character being turned bi? Just a couple? Or will new characters be exclusivley gay?

retconning

I adore the swiftness with which this term appears like a bad rash whenever this topic re-appears for the God-knows-how-often-its-been-now'th time. I don't think retconning means what you think it means.

Care to explain that statement, instead of just saying that? Because frankly the way I see it, turning established characters gay *is* offensive to equal rights movements.

so, we have Liara, Kaidan/Ashly, James, Garrus, Tali, Grunt and Jack

okay, Liara and Jack are so inthere already, but who next? James? ok I guess, he's new and we don't really know much about him

but the rest...no just don't see it happening

It's already confirmed not everyone will be bi, how many times this has to be quoted over and over again?

Some game sites saying "previously straight chars now available for both m&f chars" not necessarily true. Will have some new LI's in #ME3

Something has to be established first in order to be retconned. Retcons contradict and overwrite previously established facts. Tali being bisexual (bisexual, NOT gay, you know the difference right?) does not contradict nor overwrites previously established facts or her attraction to male Shepard. Simple. You can repeat 'retcon!!!11' as many times you want and it will still not become true.

but tali never makes any comment on her sexuality so were is it cannon that she couldnt be bi she is pretty flirty with fem shep. In me1 she has no interest in shep in me2 she loves him  thats more of a change of character imo seeing as previously she showed no interested in humans, I'd say the gap between species is probably a bigger leap then the gap between sexes.

Doesnt realy make sense shed like humans at all so i dont realy see what the big deal is wether or not she likes human females or human males.

that said im sure it would be done better than da2 i think the problem there wasnt that people were bi but how it was written into the game particularly in the case of anders
