I can romance Tali with a female Shepard now, right?

So, this essentially comes down to only what a sub group of heterosexuals want in their games? I'm so glad to know that the world revolves around the straight male.
Why yes, the romances, which are a minor feature of the game, should be designed with a majority of male and female players in mind. Not everybody is owed something suited to their personal tastes.
Aww someones a 45 year old republican.
If you watch the news, you'd know that NOTHING is more gay than a 45 year old Republican.

Bad news. There were female gay romances in ME1 & ME2. Looks like you've already donated your money to the gay lobbyVolus Warlord wrote...
Haha.. no, sir, it is not that at all.
If I read a review of a game that had S/S romance in it, there is simply no way in hell I would buy that game. I do not and will not financially support that. I don't want to see in games and will not reward games that have content of that nature in them. I wouldn't donate money to a "gay rights" lobby, I won't buy a game that has "gay rights lobby" stamped all over it. Which IMO is what ME3 is gonna end up being. If this goes, I'll have no part in it. Why am I in this forum then? Because I loved ME2 and for a time was looking forward to ME3. But this whole "**** you we're putting in S/S into ME3" crowd has effectively replaced my enthusiasm with contempt. I 've effectively gone from a day 1 buyer to someone who doesn't want to touch it.
But what the hell, I'm just a homophobe!
Ohh so 7% totally deserves extra dev time but let's say 6% doesn't? What a nice 5th grade logicReconTeam wrote...
No it isn't related. If only 7% of player use the engineer class that is still a far greater number than those you claim to represent. Plus as I have already explained, the classes are core content. If I agree with my statement about LIs I must agree about classes? What is this, 5th grade logic?

Hey, I'm laughing. God, I hope we get to see male Shepard make the "rape face" for Garrus. This forum will become downright hysterical.

I still can't figure out why people are raging so hard about what they themselves have called "Minor totally unnecessary content."
It's because they want their game to be perfect according to their own style. Which is not only impossible, but also impractical, since it'd restrict other players from some content they want. Like in this case, S/S romance or whatever.

I could say everyone being open to every race/class/morality in DA:O was forced as hell. Because...it was, using that reasoning.
I'd agree with you, completely. I think there should definitely be more variation depending on those factors - 100%. Liara being attracted to Shepard after saying she had learnt about how he had slaughtered his own men made NO sense.

It's not really a personal attack...I was stating the truth. The presence of 'fanfic' didn't prevent Tali and Garrus fans from asking BW for romances with them in ME2....and why should it? The presence of 'fanfic' didn't stop them from getting these romances either.
I'm sorry refusing to talk to me because of what's in my sig is an extremely poor showing and is lazy debating, considering nothing in my SIG references anything about romances.
Furthermore you didn't even bother addressing my point. Bioware can still give various orientations a good spread of options while still maintaining a reasonable diversity of sexual orientations among the crew.

Not at all, I just want Bioware to not be bogged down by over zealous fans and pretty much implementing everything they asked for, this happened with DA2 and we see how that turned out. In other words I want Bioware to be able to make what ever games they want without bending over in a foolish attempt to satisfy various groups of people.jlb524 wrote...

Because people seem to believe if they pester enough they'll be able to somehow bend Bioware to their will. Look at the Tali and Garrus romances, imagine if Bioware hadn't made them romanceable there would be a ton of threads like "Why wasn't Tali romanceable in ME1 or ME2?" or "Make Garrus romanceable in ME3" or my personal favorite "If Tali or Garrus isn't romanceable I'm gonna pass on this game." and why did they make tali and garrus romanceable? Because a bunch of people complained, whined, and spewed petty insults. It's the exact same for s/s romances and about every other feature people want in ME3.
Yes, and that's no different from anything else that's asked for or complained about (like, being forced to work for Cerberus in ME2) as you say.
These kind of things will happen on a game forum...we know BW reads these forums for suggestions and feedback. The DA2 forums tend to be nothing but a complaint fest. Do you want to put a moratorium on fans making requests and criticisms and just have these forums discuss the things that do exist and pat BW on the back for them?

Really? Are you sure it was 'some pro s/s'? Are you sure it wasn't nobody?
Yep several months back actually I won't go sifting through the 1000 + pages BW has contained on the subject of s/s but yes actual comments froms/s pro posters were BW owed it to them.

The sig comment was a joke, though I think it got the point across to most.
Also, it's difficult to address hyperboles like "everyone in DA2 was bisexual" or "ship everyone with everyone."
If they will include 'sexual orientation diversity" they shouldn't stop there. They need to add in other checks based on the other things I've mentioned.
Also, I will let you know that BW will not include strictly homosexual characters...this is a 'fact'. It hardly seems fair to eliminate one group (homosexuals) from a 'sexuality diverse' crew. They do this for meta-reasons of course, given that romances aren't a huge part of the game, they wish to have these options open to the majority of gamers who go for romances (those that play the m/f romances).
I believe they also had similar meta-reasons for making all of the DA2 LIs available for both genders. I don't see how one is 'okay' with most but the other isn't.

Do you believe that BW devs lack free will or the ability to ignore repetitive threads?
Plus, what does that have to do with DA2? Yes, they did take fan-feedback into account for DA2...the same with ME2 and ME3. Not sure what point you are trying to make here.
