Just saw this in the known features topic and thought it was worthy of a thread of its own. Credits to John Renegade for finding this. [Source]

I think it's something new Cerberus somehow managed to engineer, perhaps with their spoils from the Collector Base. Seems like they're attempting to take over Omega after their losses from Retribution, or perhaps the space station itself is a key element in TIM's plans (the Klendagon Weapon itself, perhaps?)

Also, the creature almost looks like a Mass Effect-ified Wraith from DA.

As for the Normandy replica, note how they say it's an exact replica of the ship from ME3. Might be a typo, or perhaps the ship only looks like that at the beginning of Mass 3, but here's to hoping we can keep flying under Cerberus' flag.

Whatever this creature is and whatever Invasion will be about in the long run, I'm willing to wager this marks the beginning of Cerberus becoming tools of the Reapers and the inevitable Reaper Invasion that we'll be seeing at the beginning of ME3.

I think it's something new Cerberus somehow managed to engineer, perhaps with their spoils from the Collector Base.

That would be difficult considering these books and comics are written to be canon with just about any storyline players make for themselves in the games and some (if not most) decided to destroy the Collector Base.

That creature looks scary and sick, kinda has Collector resemblance.
Either way, i hope they will be in ME3.

I'm going with highly modified Rachni since there is a side mission in ME2 about information on Cerberus' experiments with the Rachni - perhaps they never ended as we initially thought?

Cerberus and Aria - at least they're combining the stuff I couldn't care less about together, I guess.

I hope we're going to Omega in ME3 and this comic ties in with the game.

Isn't the ME3 Alliance painted SR-2 due out around the same time?

http://biowarestore....dy-ship-replica

Guess we can buy two versions of the same model?

In the demos it is already in Alliance colors.

OT: don't care about replica and I'll eventually read the summary of Invasion on ME wiki.

Is it? In any case, I actually left that part in the initial version of the opening post, because it sounded stupid to include that as a feature, especially for a tie-in comic. Still, it looked naked without that part, so I put it back in. :')

Retribution mentions Cerberus has salvage from the Collectors. It's ambiguous about where that salvage came from. It could be from the base, or the remains of the base.

Yet another story about Cerberus? They've completely outshined the Reapers at this point.

Looks distinctly reaperish to me. Maybe there is a species behind the starships?

Its not, Marshalleck is just being his usual charming self.

ME2 shipped 2 million units to stores by the end of the first week which is essentially saying they sold those copies to stores - so from their point of view they sold those units. Companies almost always use numbers shipped when they're talking about sales.

For example, the DAO sold 3 million report that came out like half a year after its release was talking about units shipped, not actually sold to customers.

If you want the actual sold to customer numbers we know ME2 ended up selling roughly 600,000 units on the Xbox from Jan 26-30 with an unknown number of PC units sold since the NPD wasn't covering PC sales back then.

Agree, the poor reapers feel neglected. Also this is the second time that Cerberus have made a retarded u-turn:

1st retarded u-turn: (Pre u-turn): Lets bring Shepard back from the dead and help him defeat the reaper threat. (Post u-turn): Lol lets kill Shepard and join the reapaz! For the lulz!

2nd retarded u-turn:
(Pre u-turn): Lets be pragmatic and make an alliance with Aria so that we may stop Paul Grayson and in turn thwart the reapers' plans- Aria could be a powerful ally. (Post u-turn): Scratch that lol, lets play an April fools joke on Aria by attacking Omega it will be gr8 fun! We'll send some little ugly reaper things to create a bit of mischief there! lol.

Seriously, in the lore since ME2 Cerberus have gradually been deteriorating into team rocket.

First off, stop using the word 'retarded' to describe everything. It makes you sound like third grader. A really immature third grader.

Second off, you haven't read this comic and you sure as hell haven't played the game. You have no idea why Cerberus would unleash something on Omega or even if they did it on purpose.

No, they are retarded (oops sorry, dumb), the only justification for serving the reapers is 1. they are indoctrinated or 2. they are reta--dumb. They have certainly gone back on their 'stop the reapers' position in Mass Effect 2. And when an alliance was cemented between Cerberus and Aria in Retribution, this attack on Omega seems silly.

Broken image links. Looks like the source is down.

Invasion is probably where we get the first real hints about TIM in ME3.

Babli wrote...

Attacking an equally immoral faction is the best way to do that, no?

True, RIP ME2 Cerberus. :(
