If, for whatever reason, it's not going to work out for you and your most recent previous LI, who do you rebound with?
Personally, I think I'd just fly solo the rest of the way if I can't have Jack. Unless they give us some great new option (like Dr. Chakwas... mmm hot grandma) and it otherwise doesn't feel wrong to do so.

I dont think I would - I have recently replayed ME1 with both my male and female sheps with no LI so they could hook up and be dedicated to Tali and Garrus. Also with you on Chakwas but would add in Joker as well :-)

Depends on the new LIs, my Sheps might go gay depending on the m/m romance options. My female sheps aren't with any ME2 LI (unless if Kelly counts as an LI)

In my latest run (that I'm planning on importing first, although I don't see it as my "canon" run) I romanced Tali. If for whatever reason that doesn't work out I guess I would go for the new gay option.

No rebounds. If Kaidan or Thane (depending upon the shep) die, she's going to be single for the rest of the game.
However, if she's dumped by either of them she may find solace in the arms of the other, looking at Vega it would seem unlikely any of my sheps would go for him, that hair is just a step too far towards stupid.

If Jack dies, MaleShep will try to go back to Ashley. I'm sure that will end well.
