I'm only playing on normal, any suggestion on a good build along with companions and their builds?

Two hand builds plus companions is a pretty big subject.

If you're trying Beserker I find Rally, and Second Wind to be useful. You want to start with Beserke on, move in and fire off your WhirlWind and MightyBlow. When your Stamina is low I then turn off Beserke. I don't have Cleeve yet but who knows maybe I will get to it someday.

i work from the top down, so my guides are applicable to any difficulty. you do miss out on delicious walking bomb/firestorm -> sacrificial frenzy setups, though

Yeah, that's an unavoidable consquence of going with a beserker-centric team build (which partially runs off stagger exploitation), rather rogue-centric (which runs off disorient exploitation). Still a fun and highly effective build though.

IMO rally is decent to have, but only if one of your companions has a spare slot for it ... HOWEVER, I found both deep reserves and especially second wind to be largely unnecessary if your beserker build is done properly, and if you follow good discipline with limiting/pacing your use of activated talents, and instead relying most heavily on your basic attack (which is the bread and butter of the beserker specialty), and keeping your stamina levels high.

Yes, Second wind was briefly handy in the Golems DLC (where the stamina system and beserker build in general had not yet been tuned decently, and it made life easier for less experienced players who bang away on high-cost talents like a crazed chimp, but in DA2 it's not necessary.

Oh, and Cleave+Claymore is something you should add ASAP ... running a beserker w/o cleave is like driving a ferarri fitted with bicycle tires.

i mean that a big part of the build is having the warrior eat a relatively safe amount of friendly fire damage to set up consistently huge numbers off of Sacrificial Frenzy. if you don't play nightmare, you miss out on this due to there not being FF, but the build will still steamroll everything so hard that it won't even matter.

Just to clarify: my use of "unavoidable consequence" above was not intended to imply that the S.F. tactic was in any way a bad idea. Quite the opposite. Rather, I was actually agreeing with your missing the satisfying chain-explosions of enemy bodies. ;)

I had lots of fun with a vanguard/reaver build and things died quickly too, at the end of act 3 you can still put some point in to zerker too. I just like reaver for some reason it's so much better than in last game. It works for me on nightmare so you should have no problems in normal.
