this is completely bassackwards. Renegade is effeciency and getting the job done. So Kill the enemy quickly, cleanly and with the most economy of movement as possible. Thane springs to mind. Paragons are more emotional. You'll fight like grunt.
We should get Paragon/Renegade points from combat as well!

One of the greatest differences I have noticed between Paragon and Renegade is, Paragon takes the defensive, where as Renegade takes the offensive...think of the Renegade battle interrupts.
There are other such small things, such as to use flash bangs or inferno grenades...it would be much more paragon to use flash bangs (stuns) and much more renegade to use infernos (incinerate)....Stasis isn't a bad idea for paragon, as its painless...I don't see the differnce between your numbers 3 and 4 though....explain?

You people have no sense of innovation. If everyone thought like you, we'd still be playing pac-man.

No I wouldn't like to be forced to have to shoot the guys limbs in order to rack up my para points as apposed to blowing his head off and getting ren. I don't mind the dialogue wheel for the most part though I think a neutral option should add to both para and ren score evenly and any interrupt prompts should also regardless of end result = points to both para and ren.

3. Throwing someone off a ledge normally saves them from a painful death due to 20 shots to the chest. It's fast and clean (most of the time).
4 On the other hand, as the achivement in ME2 states, this technique would panic them and they'd die in screaming terror, something that indeed happens in ME2.

It isn't a bad idea. It's a passive way to earn extra points, something that we really needed in ME2 due to the ridiculous lack of points earned through dialog. It's pasiive and happens on it's own from time to time. You can be playing normally and BOOM! you got points.

I'm still trying to find the difference in throwing the merc off a ledge in a cutscene and meleeing a merc off a ledge...?
The idea of passive paragon/renegade points isn't terrible, but this implementation is. Instead of how you kill someone, maybe whether or not you choose to kill someone who isn't a threat? Ie. enemies can throw down their weapons... but even that seems like a lot to implement for very little added to the gameplay.

I don't dislike the idea - but I'd actually like a computer roleplaying game to finally give me the means to achieve my goals by minimizing violence (and that should be the Paragon points.)

They dont get us and they never will.
Using a chainsaw to lob off someones arms? Paragon.
Using an enemies girlfriend to break his heart, the utmost vulnerable of organs? Renegade.
Why? Because without arms they will develop the unnatural ability to squeeze into abnormally small spaces, and obviously be destined to start a super-hero squad to fight crime.

Who? Him or me? Bah, it doesn't matter. The fans hate it on a whim, yet they'd love it if they tried it. What a pack of hipocrites.

Not really fond of this idea.
It almost forces the player to fight a certain way if they are going for a certain alignment. It could mean a drastic change to someone's playing style because it might affect their playthrough negatively--meaning they might get paragon points if going on a renegade run or vice versa.

You might as well give those points depending on how Shepard uses a toilet (you know, liquid - paragon, solid - R-r-r-renegade!). I think we should stop explicitly getting grades from the developers for every minor action we take.

I'm on your side dude, knock of the team killing. I think we may need to take our ideas directly to Bioware.

Love it if we tried it? Sounds to me like you just want to get rewarded for setting people on fire. When actually playing the game, all it would do is limit the way you're allowed to play. Bad idea.

How about Paragon for a sneak or bribe/charm option and you don't kill them at all?

How about stopping being a cheapskate? I have never had any trouble with persuasions when using an imported character, even as a full paragon in conversations doing all the renegade interrupts?
Have you ever thought about its perhaps BW's way of rewarding those who played ME1?
Now stop wanting everything served on a silverplatter.
