Running around mutilating people was fun enough, taking off limbs with my shotgun, but then comes a boss fight... Repeated rockets to the face and god knows how many shotgun blasts and he's still coming at me? Ugh.
Also God of War 3 on the highest difficulty, there's a fight I can't get past for love nor money. During the Labyrinth bit, after the room with the spikes on the floor you cross a bridge, a cutscene plays where Kratos opens a door, then there's this million wave arena fight that I just can't do. Knock the difficulty down one and I'm fine, but on max I just can't quite do it and it frustrates the hell out of me.

I found the cell stage of Spore to be the best part of that game, which is kinda depressing...
Yes that was fun and charming. And I didn't want to end so soon.
The creature stage... bah that gets boring fast.
Tribal stage... had potential but dumbing down RTS to the smallest thing ins't what I'd call fun.
Civilzation stage. was probably the 2nd best. It was fun it had challenge and there were plenty of different ways to win.
Space stage is a mixed bag for me. I liked it somewhat but every time I entered a planet nothing saddens me more than not being able to go on foot and do things on that planet.
Glactic Adventures promise but it was excuted like crap. A user created heavy expansion required other people to make it for them. OOh lets get Seth Green and his Robot Chicken buddies to make a few for us. Their funny but short as hell... Then you have nothing.. Noone had the desire to make anything because it was all superficial. Knowing that your creation will end up on a random planet with the weakest excuse to go there didn't really inspire people.
Still wonder why I bought that as I barely touched it.

The Witcher
I bought the enhanced edition for $20 about a year ago. Since so many people speak so fondly of it, including game reviewers, I decided to give this a game a shot.
I was up to chapter 2 or 3, and I was up to the part where your in that town trying to solve a murder ( I think it was a murder ... I can't remember) . The only thing I can remember in this game plot-wise is when you save that witch from the village.
You got farther than me... After struggling with nonstop lag during the first cutscene and dying like 50 times on the first enemies I uninstalled and never looked back.
The love for this game is beyond my comprehension.

What I can't understand, is people having problems completing quests and running around in circles in the city. There's a journal for your quests and a map that tends to have red dots on it for quests to be completed. I also can't understand how you can have problems killing mobs at the beginning of the game. It's so easy.
Solving the chapter 2 murder is probably the best quest in the game (one of the best quests in a RPG) because of the way the quest/story plays out and the different ways it can go depending on your choices. I'm not a huge Witcher fan. I just think it's a decent game. Definitely miles ahead of DA2 in story, quests, and C&C but that's not saying much. It just has terrible combat, but so did PST and a lot of good RPGs out there. I guess it's what's important to you in a game you play.

DS3 - Not being able to control my own camera perspective is just too much of a burden in a hack'n'slash game.
Lion King - Hey don't laugh! I played it not long ago and damn that game is so freaking annoying without a save function!
As for people having trouble with TW1 and TW2...well, TW1 is basically a walk in the park if you bother with upgrading your gear. TW2 was indeed a tough one...very harsh learning curve. But once you get the hang of it, it's just plain beauty. Aggressive swoop in and a few slashes, dodge, swoop in again, dodge, add a few spells in the mix. Most fun I've ever had. My fiancé doesn't have any interest to play TW2 but when I was fighting the dragon he couldn't help but stare at the screen mesmerized.

Hahaha, I had that game, was so bad till the upper levels, when **** starts to move and you have pencil thin paths and time limits. I think it was one level with flame hoops and walk ways, soon as I reached it I was like "Nah **** this ****" never played it again lol.apunyfly wrote...

WoW PvP - It's a ****ing joke. First you spend 1-3 weeks grinding gear in order to get facerolled by certain classes just simply because they counter your own class or because they are Paladins that have to be killed 3 times before they actually stay dead. Nothing riles me up more than what that game did. Competetive PvP my arse...more like rock-paper-scissors.
Lol man does WoW pvp suck. Unfortunately I played as a Hunter so get in too close I can't melee or use my ranged weapon. Paladin and mages faceroll everything.
I agree with what you said on Witcher. It's simple and your left feeling too strong which is one thing I hope gets patched.

I just couldn't make those damn people happy no matter what I did. Without fail, they would riot after half an hour and I'd destroy the city in a fit of pique.

To add to the list...The Witcher 1. I hated, hated, HATED the opening section in the castle because the combat was so stupendously boring. There are ways to do it right (let's say B:AA for example) if you're going to have some kind of combo system, but TW1's style of combat bit. I didn't play it for almost a year after I got through the raid on the castle, and when I tried to pick it up again many moons later...it immediately drove me away again with the combat and the horrid VA. I got as far as the second floor (I think) of the castle and turned in the quest I was on, but I couldn't stomach more of it. That, and the game rather annoyingly insisted on changing my brightness/contrast levels which forced me to load up my normal profile in Catalyst every time I played.
