When we finally reach TIM's hideout to take him out

TIM throws a flashbang at shepard and crew. TIM runs away, when shepard regains his sight he sees TIM in a ginat Special Mech Suit. This Mech suit has 4 legs and 3 dog like heads. You're literally fighting a MECHA CERBERUS!
Please, make it happen bioware!

If we had a fight it should be total Shepard ownage, let's not pretend TIM suddenly is a kung fu master and a powerful biotic or has a mech suit. TIM throws some kind of grenade towards Shepard and runs away. Shepard unexpectedly dodges the grenade and it flies off somewhere, Shepard shoots TIM in the back a few times, he falls down and doesn't get up again. If Jack is in the party at that moment, she shoots TIM a few more times before walking off. All party members have a witty comment to go with TIM's death before getting on the shuttle, the door closes and the shuttle flies towards the Normandy.
The End...
Or is it...?

I'd rather have no fight against TIM. The Reapers are our enemies, TIM can wait as far as I'm concerned. I'll just keep killing the goons he sends towards me.

That seems rather disappointing, we just shoot him and he dies. TIM is awesome and deserves some kind of boss fight at the very least. A mech suit would make some sense.

How about he just have an elite bodyguard with a couple of ultra badass captains? Him himself is a walkover..? He really is just an instigator, a motivator, a planner and a manipulator.. A guy in a suit.

Make him do a Saren Arterius on himself. Bullet through the head.

Well, I guess Kai Leng could do that.

While I don't mind the ocassional boss fight (provided it's done properly and it's not just a standard gunfight x10) I don't like the idea of making TIM (who is not a soldier or even suited for combat) into a boss. Having TIM suddenly be able to stand up to Shepard (be that with natural biotics or a mech suit) just doesn't make sense to me. I'm suddenly cringing as I imagine TIM use Tela Vasir's biotic charge and fight Shepard with an assault rifle.
Like others suggested I'd rather have a proper difficult fight with Kai Leng and resolve the business with TIM in a cutscene. Giving Shepard a paragon and renegade interrupt to determine how to end it, without having to actually fight TIM yourself. Though at this point I wouldn't be surprised if TIM is indoctrinated and turned into Saren 2 but would BW do something like that...

Either way you have to fight through waves of TIM's goons/mechs. If you do kill him, it will be a boss fight - he's in a suit/mech.
But dear GOD do not allow it to be a comical three headed dog mech. JEBUS that's ridiculous! LMFAO /facepalm /head desk

I think you're all underestimating TIMs fighting capabilities. According to evolution he was a merc in the first contact war and from what we can derive a damn good one. Granted that was 30 years ago but I still don't thing he's a pushover.
Is that before or after he became a chain smoking alcoholic?

That sounds appropriate. I think the guy before we face should be Kai Leng and he doesn't need to be in any mech to be a boss. Something like Tela Vasir.MACharlie1 wrote...
I'd prefer it if we just shoot him. He isn't a fighter and mechs are contrived. Why would he just happen to have a mech in his office anyway? He is way too classy a guy for that sort of cliche crap. I'd prefer that we fight a boss before we enter his office. We enter his office and half of his face is husk. He gives some speech about humanity and the reapers and then we shoot him dead. Keep it simple.

I think it should be something like BdtS. You have to chose between taking out TIM or losing something important.

While he was indeed a good fighter back then and probably is still more capable at fighting than most, after years without combat he would probably be no match for a well trained operative like Shepard or Kai Leng (in Retribution he is almost killed by Turians).
