I'd rather engage in a philosophical discussion with him.

I'd rather high-five him and when he's confused, eat him.

I'd rather talk to him than kill him right away.

I think it shuold go something like this:

TIM throws a flashbang at shepard and crew. TIM runs away, when shepard regains his sight he sees TIM in a ginat Special Mech Suit. This Mech suit has 4 legs and 3 dog like heads. You're literally fighting a MECHA CERBERUS!

Please, make it happen bioware!

I would prefer it if TIM turned out to be a Reaper all along, and then he transformed from his alternate form into Cerbertron.

I think you're all underestimating TIMs fighting capabilities. According to evolution he was a merc in the first contact war and from what we can derive a damn good one. Granted that was 30 years ago but I still don't thing he's a pushover.

While he was indeed a good fighter back then and probably is still more capable at fighting than most, after years without combat he would probably be no match for a well trained operative like Shepard or Kai Leng (in Retribution he is almost killed by Turians).

TIM still managed to kill two Turian maggots though. I was cheering on him and Kai Leng that whole scene. :D

We're talking about Shepard here. TIM would go down as fast as Dr. Saleon/Hart.

TIM deserves a dramatic moment at the end, followed by a bullet to the head.  That's all.

But this is a video game, so TIM probably will get a Mech, or turn into a giant husk or something.  Maybe he has a sword made out of pure element zero?

"Cerberus is a three-headed dog"

1. TIM
2. "The Norsemen"?
3. "The Black Knight"?

Probably Cerberus got their own factions...

How long do you think that it'll last?

He basically already starts yelling and complaining about us silly idealists minutes after I destroy the base.

Why doesn't anyone in the ME universe smoke? TIM is the only one with cigars. I'd let him live if he game me a crate...

I'd like something along these lines for the ending or an epilogue.

Shepard had pursued a finally defeated TIM to one of his safe havens out in space, and confronts him face-to-face.

From here, there are different ways that the confrontation can play out. And this is what I was thinking for one potential, final confrontation with TIM:

Having listened to TIM's final words, Shepard then begins to walk away. TIM has a few choice words as Shepard cavalierly fires a round that punches a hole through a window of the room TIM is standing in.

Then with air rushing out and the window cracking, the emergency doors begin closing as the screen fades to black, with a Faunts m4 part 2 themed song starting to play in the background.

Then we see a still image of Shepard's back slowly emerge with either a red or blue hue of Earth that could also fade as the credits begin to roll.

Three-headed giant dog? Cerberus battle from DMC3, anyone?

On a serious note, TIM's final confrontation would better be either fight against Kai Leng or TIM being Saren 2.0 and turning into husk

It's a moral calculation. Most likely TIM is a war criminal, much like Dick Cheney and enhanced interrogation techniques.

Killing TIM might be good for many species, but might he not be better placed in a prison?

It will depend on the situation at the time, in ME3 trailers we already see we've gone to war with TIM. He is called the Illusive man, he might be hard to find.

Make him do a Saren Arterius on himself. Bullet through the head.

"A bullet through the head solves everything."

Apart from a certain bounty hunter...

But wait, isn't Mass Effect Deception (the new novel) going to be about Gillian Grayson seeking revenge on TIM? My guess is you do confront him in ME3 but he is able to run away.

TIMmy's baby blues give him Praetorian laser beam vision. But seriously, TIM tries to high tail it out of there and throws his security systems and soldiers at you. He should be a noncombatant

... And after TIM is dead Shepard and Miranda will proceed to have sex on his desk with that color changing star in the background.
