....except for when femShep sits in that dress. THAT looks awkward.
Also keep in mind that when animators try to make the PC "walk" more feminine, we get the butt-waggling abomination that was LadyHawke. Seriously, it's just awful. Here I have this tanky-tank girl with armour six-inches thick and she's all, "Watch how hypnotic my hips are! See how FEMININE I am?"
Is that REALLY what you want for femShep? Her shaking her butt and gyrating her hips to appear more "feminine"?
No. Gender neutral animations, please and thank you.

Hell to be honest I would have liked the option for Miranda to accompany Shepard as a date. Miranda is more qualified for those jobs anyway.

I prefer my gender neutrality, thank you. For all we know, manShep is the one walking around like femShep. Nothing about how Shepard walks strikes me as particularly male or female.

To be honest I hated that on both Female and Male animations for ME2. It always looked like they were still in their armor the way they walked. It was annoying. Should've just stuck with ME1 for walking animation.

And I know I'm in the minority here, but I also prefer her crouching sit to the prim and proper thing she did at the end of LotSB.

Seriously! When I played Lady Hawke I had to download a mod to give her the male animations. I hate all her unique animations, even her standing posture is awful. If it's Lady Hawke's limp-wristed, hip-slamming overly "sexy" animation set vs. having a generic or "masculine" animation set? Give me the generic one.
I think Shepard having the same animations across the board is fine, they just need to close femShep's legs when she's sitting in a dress (which I never have my Sheps in unless I have to), otherwise I personally think having the same sitting animation for both sexes is fine.
What we really need is a running/walking animation for both sexes where Shepard doesn't look like they have a stick up their bum and a broken neck.

- with dress

-with railing at Garrus'es station when she tries to put elbow on it
-with helmets when using "large bun" hairstyle
About animations - joining to "wtf lady Hawke is doing?". Do not want for my krogan-headbutting Vanguard to walk like that

That isn't to deny that this isnt an issue, just that the dress is one outfit from DLC that doesn't have, you know, pants.

However, I realize that others want a butch Shepard, tomboy Shepard, cowgirl Shepard, etc. Like Baskin & Robbins .. too many flavors.
Michelle Yeoh example of sitting, walking & overall presentation.

I think relaistically she will keep the animations maleshep has. Simply because of time constraints and costs. However I do hope theres more polish. The amount of extra clipping femshep had was fustrating in some situations because she occupies a smaller space then maleshep but uses the same rig. Thus things sometimes clipped or didnt look right.

I wish that they used Michelle Yeoh as their example of walking, sitting and movement. But I love the ballet turned martial artist combo - feminine yet deadly. I wish that my female Shepard displayed some hand-to-hand combat on occasion as well .. oh, well.

I don't mind the dress for that specific mission, because the situation calls for it. Plus it's kind of funny because it's so very much not what my Shepard would wear. She's not super 'butch' either, she's just a professional. Wearing a black leather dress while in command doesn't really read 'professional' to me.bleetman wrote...
Hands up if you modded that dress to use your usual casual attire look during the Kasumi mission?

Edit: Funny no one ever argues for maleShep to have "masculine wiles".

I would hate a mission that involved Shepard using her "feminine wiles" to achieve her goal.
Funny how men never have to use "masculine wiles".
Men don't need wiles they just pose a bit and women jump all over them. Didn't you know?

And because some game situations called for it - both the Kasumi DLC and the hunt for Morinth - it always bothered me that Seph couldn't really blend in with the club crowd before the dress showed up. Neither cerberus uniform, nor biotic outfit, dock worker getup or a her camos really sad "I'm just here to have a fun girl's night out in a posh club"
And I do hope that we'll get both some formal wear and a chance to use it in Mass Effect 3.
But at the same time I'm rather found of Shepard who is commander first, professional second and everything else after. She moves like someone who spend all her live in armor, magnetic boots and uniform, and it is as it should be.
In a perfect world there should be a check for what Shep is wearing, and some adjustment for the sitting animations in a dress if we get one, but that's about it for me.
