Hi,

I have my original ME1 boxed game which I installed once about 3 years ago, played for about an hour, then forgot about ()

Having just completed ME2, I'd like to go back and play the first one again... however, I remember the Securom malarky and would prefer to avoid it if it's at all possible.

I have an Origin account; is it possible to in some way register the game through Origin and download a Securom free version? The code on the back of my manual isn't valid through Origin it seems!

Personally if it will install from the disk for you then that is the way I would go. It doesn't require the disk in the drive to play the game, so once it is installed it is about the same either way.

EA Agent talks about adding it to orgins in the last post of that thread, but again, I would try a basic install first.
