So I've been playing da2 and for some reason when i buy new upgrades for my companions armor the design does not change, Any reason for this?
I Had a relationship with Merrill after that her armor surprisingly enough changed. (altho her stats suddenly reset and i could not assin them, had to go to the black emporium to get item for skill reset)
Anyway ignoring that how can i get the amor changes working?
is it a glich?

The companions' armor will not change unless you romance them, or unless you have a mod that will alter the appearance.

I think the reason to keep the clothing/armor constant and consistent for the companions was to reduce the hunting for suitable armors (based on class, stats, etc). Plus, each outfit is really a hallmark to the character. Isabela would seem out of place (for me, at least) in anything other than the tunic and those boots. Varric would not be Varric without that duster. The outfits are, in some ways, as much a part of the characters as their banter.

EDIT: That said, I am currently playing a game with this mod installed. Some beautiful color variations and sweetness.

Ok thanks for that, I just knew that the armour had different appearances but never changed so I was puzzled.

Will check that mod out at some time.
